Perhaps they pay a single fee per year as an entity to the publisher/producer, and not for all patrons/per usage, in the way that bars and clubs work

Played for awhile. Rather like the game. I'm not a 70s rock throwback, so I dont have the volume super high so it doesnt bother me.
Not huge wins, though we've seen in this thread there's potnetial. Good for WR grinding and some fun elements - been lucky during bonuses that I mostly get encore or crowd pleaser (though never gotten the FS during crowd pleaser but have hit top of the bar).
All in all enjoyable but won't be my go-to game like some of the higher var games.

Dunover thanks for the review, watched it all and laughed and completely agree with your comments.
I would say a good description of netent variance is simply making it near impossible to ever hit anything above 200x stake no matter what else you change about the slot. Having this implemented makes it unlikely a seasoned player will cash out and it protects the online casinos from big winners. Feels like online gaming operators and netent just wished nobody ever withdrew at all.
It is a shame because I love to gamble but I also like to have a chance to win. I don't mind taking the worst of it (RTP less than 100%) as long as I have a chance to beefcake hit. That is what I look for in a slot and I sure I am not alone so I am sorry netent, seasoned gamblers will not like this rubbish.
As for new slot players I believe what, most of all, makes a player fall in love with slots and play again and again is winning BIG. It is not fancy graphics or cute sounds, it is the sheer feeling of joy and amazement the first time you hit 1000x bet and cant quite believe what is happening. These slots remove that and thus remove the potential to get new players loving slots.
I am sorry net ent this might be what casinos wish people played for (fancy graphics) but the real reason people play slots is because we might win a lot. I know you will want good feedback and everyone praising but I believe in honesty, and the honest truth is this is a total turd dressed up to try and look nice.

IMO the biggest downfall of this slot is that the bonus round is utter crap from what I've experienced. I'm assuming that you can't hit the expanding wilds during the free spins feature (I have not seen any drop during my free spins) which means that there is no potential. This just takes all the excitement out of hitting the bonus wheel.
During the base game though you can get a full screen of wilds and as legenden1's screenshot shows it pays 750xbet. Now the question is that can you hit the full screen of wilds with the multiplier? I have seen a screen shot where there were a full wild on reel three and four with a multiplier so I'm assuming that it can happen. That would mean that during the base game you can win up to 7500xbet which would change many players' views of this slot I reckon. I guess time will tell if something like that is possible.

Well that really shows what a crock of shit it is. 2/3 features = 'crowd pleaser' and most between 10-20x stake. One game I will avoid enthusiastically.

If I did like Guns and Roses before, I'm not so sure I do now, I thought your rant was a little tame to be honest, they should have built this game for the long term and actually integrated their music into the game, it's like having Spotify with five songs on it and a crap paying slot to play ... I won't be playing it again, did £150 down to £15 over an hour by which time I actually couldn't listen to their music anymore...
Oh and don't get me started on the so called Big Wins kicking in at x15 - feels like you win a freaking jackpot, it's just plain deceitful!

microgaming should couterattack this tiny wins celebration slot with Running Wild, easily among the best and oldest heavy metal bands on earth.
is a great name for a slot too and running wilds should be the main feature. plenty of themes to add like in Avalon 2, based on piracy sagas of the albums that tells a story vast on decades and enough awesome riffs and good music.

I haven't been able to test it much before yesterday, but the potential seems to be pretty big, and a RTP of almost 97% is good as well. I would rate this one of the better Net Ent releases in a long time! Full screen wild potential, 10x multipliers etc. I like it

Problem is Guns N' Roses are a household name. Running Wild is not. Pointless making a branded slot about a band very few care about.
I would love to see one of my favorite artist getting a slot but it's never going to happen (Faith No More slot by Microgaming, nope).
Metallica would be a bigger draw then GNR but that will also never happen since they're just too rich.
Have given this game a reasonable time to get to know it before passing comment.
Played it at all my usual haunts and conclude that its OK but unlikely to become a go to game for me.
Lots of comments about the music. Irrelevant for me. Always turn it off and watch TV or listen to the radio when playing.
The legend spin feature is nice but doesn't seem to produce many big wins

Had my best ever slot day on this game last night won nearly £1000 over 4 hours constantly got the bonus feature over the time.
I like the way this game was put together and I was going back to this game constantly over the last week and was impressed with the payouts.
Positives:
Expanding wilds are always good
Good payouts on the bonus

12 000 Spins and not a win over 130x - Typical NetEnt. Sadly, I saw a comment from their CEO somewhere that this slot marks a new direction for the company - Realistically speaking, they have been on the destruction path since Starburst. Their slots are unique, but predictably low paying monsters.
NetEnt don't do slots with big hit potential anymore, they rather actively seek the most profitable ball crunching light and graphical shows to leave a super dent in your pocket. I have absolutely given up on playing their Slots - I play DOA for the pure fun, get tortured, hit massively, get tortured some more and I stay happy.
Its sad that a Slot this BIG is basically made into a tame tortoise. Look what MG did with Playboy and Game of Thrones - They have the idea.
NetEnt should have rather saved the G&R band and made 'Bums and Noses' >>> something stinks, I can smell it in their code
