Got to say I have never been so badly treated by a supposedly reputable casino.
As posted a while back, I applied for Black card status(vip), was accepted pending sending a bank statement, which i did,
the following day my deposits were suspended.
Online chat said my account was being reviewed, that was 19 days ago, no explaination or response and still cant deposit.
Sent an email saying I was not happy which was ignored.I totally refuse to waste my time waiting to get into chat or trying
for 30 mins on the phone to speak to them in person,As they have no active rep here I cant go down that route.
You might say they were not happy with my financial situation and affordability status but Mecca who have the same
bank statement have just elevated me to to Royal VIP status so I think its simply down to incompetence and apathy
on Grosvenors part.I still get all the offers from them but cant take advantage of them.I am just going to hang in there
and see if they do ever realise I am effectively still suspended.
It has happenned before, the blockage took 21 days to sort out and that was only through chasing them every day, wont be
doing that this time,

Just find it so annoying, I mean how long does it take them to send an email, even if its bullshit..
I just hate being ignored, always seems to to be the big UK outfits who treat customers like shit.
I would trust them completely as regards payment, they are rock solid but CS is just so bad

I keep getting messages about Black Card. If I don't send them 3 months bank statements, copy of passport or driving license, utility bills, occupation and origin of gaming funds, I'll lose my status.

I also get at least one email a day offering odds boosts etc. Non stop to be honest.

Shame. Have been a good customer of theirs for 30 years land based and have used their online site regularly.

Clearly I won't be able to play their soon.

Well done UKGC. Political TWATS

Much as I hate what the UKGC are doing to uk gambling, its down to how casinos carry out their obligations,
many treat customers as lying scumbags. completely wrong.

I would strongly advise players at Grosvenor not to apply for Black card status, all my problems started when
i did,

Yeah, your financial situation should be no concern of the casino, it should be no concern of anyone really unless you are applying for credit or a mortgage etc where future repayments depend on your income.

I detest this nannyism that we are seeing in increasingly more and more instances.

I'm never sending that kind of info, so it'll be bye bye to black card for me.

End game clearly points to nowhere safe to play . Very sad. I should be able to spend my money as I choose.

Sadly years of putting folks into financial difficulties with dodgy practices have came home to roost.

It’s all chipmonkz fault, the end.

This is it...you are well within your rights to spend your money as you want...but the UKGC seem to think differently

When you think about it, affordability should not part of any assessment deciding whether you are allowed to play, providing any money you deposit has been acquired by honest means, that should be all that matters.
No one has the right to question how you spend your money bearing in mind the taxman has already taken
a chunk out of it.If you spend more than you can afford, hard shit, go and find another hobby, dont make
the other 95% of players suffer for your actions

Playing devils advocate, the UKGC didn't bring in AML laws, which seem to go hand in hand with RG checks, and I'm sure if it wasn't for them there wouldn't be as much asked for. (pressed enter too soon so had to edit my post :) )

The VIP thing isn't special that I'm aware of (other than a free bar for the night for you and your whole party lol. RG!). It's more what's coming next.
Probably will get asked for the same docs in order to continue playing there soon enough

The gambling industry has lost sight about what it's all about. It's about fun and spontaneity...not having to jump through hoops and provide all manner of sensitive documents. Where is the fun in that?

It's all just totally unnecessary.

Instead of kowtowing to the UKGC and other institutions, casinos should have come together and fought against them placing things like AML as their responsibility. I am of the opinion that financial institutions such as banks should be the ones carrying out these checks- they have all the information at hand to do so.

As for the RG side of things, it should be more than enough for casinos to apply a due diligent approach. Sure, be alert for suspicious patterns of play or any sign of issue...but a full financial profile of that player is way way OTT. Not necessary.
