Last week Bet 365 suspended taking new players from Romania but is letting existing customers continue. Over a year a go BWIN.PARTY did the same for a load more - Argentina, Armenia, Belarus, Brazil, Colombia, Croatia, Cyprus, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and the Ukraine.

With the UKGC demanding a legal justification for all other markets that are either 3% of the firms revenues or are "targetted" by the site one option for sites to manage their grey market position is to suspend taking on new accounts from the grey market then so long as existing revenues are below 3% they will not be asked by the UKGC for a legal justification for that market.

If you are a player in a grey market, where the legality is doubtful, and you may want to use one of the sites that is getting a UK licence it could make sense to open an account there NOW in case they stop accepting new players from your market before 1st November when the new licence kicks in. It may be that this week is your last chance to sign up to some UK licenced sites and that if you sign up now you will be allowed to stay wit that site even if they stop "targetting" your market by stopping taking on new accounts from your country.

This window might only be open for a few more days.

Good suggestion - of course if those who sign up are grandfathered in. UK Licensed (or pending license) can be found here.
