This is just my opinion and I accept others will see things differently.

Due to a steady increase in shill like posts, unchecked disinformation and general apathy on the subject of fair gaming I will no longer be posting on these boards as I do not want to add legitimacy to these people by responding to them directly.
I have explained my position many times on these boards and backed up my words with reason,logic and fact so I will not be replying to any questions in this thread.
This is my last post regardless.

I would just like to publicly thank Bryan, Simmo and Max for their excellent moderation and wish Bryan all the very best for the future - he certainly deserves any reward he gets for his efforts.

To those I have come to know as friends I wish to thank you for putting up with me over the last few Years.
To my enemies, good luck and no hard feelings.

I still intend to keep my account open for a while so that I can stay in touch with people via PM but I will no longer be posting.

I know you said you wouldnt be posting, i just want you to know that you are one of the most talented folks to have ever graced this forum imho, i consider you to be gifted in the casino industry with a wealth of knowledge to back it up.

I can understand where you're coming from Rusty. Sometimes it gets to hard to fight the good fight. I know we had our battles, but at least you had the knowledge and intelligence to make them worthwhile. So long. :)
 
Nooooooooo!!! You can't David, you just can't. Please take some time and reconsider. You are one of the few voices of sanity and reason left around here. It will not be the same if you're not around. This makes me very sad. :(
 
Look Dave, I can see you're really upset about this. I honestly think you ought to sit down calmly, take a stress pill, and think things over.

I know I've made some very poor decisions recently, but I can give you my complete assurance that my work will be back to normal. I've still got the greatest enthusiasm and confidence in the mission. And I want to help you Dave.

I came to help people. You did too. Just breath when it gets tight. People forget to breath. There is no place to go. It would be very noble to stand and turn the negative into posative., but with posative thoughts/actions. It can be done. Don't resist these people. Float above and with them. These are poor people who do not have the growth to be harmonious. Be kind to them and their color will stand out. If you go then they will not be seen. Nor will they ever see themselves. Pity them, in a kind way. It is the only way to ever be happy.

certainly hope you change your mind! always looked forward to reading your posts and i think there will be a huge hole that will be very difficult to fill if you don't have a presence here.

I'm sure everyone respects your decision... but you are threatening the balance of the universe;)
 
It is hardly the time to leave now we have conclusive evidence that RTG casinos REALLY ARE "tightening the slots", or at least CHANGING them to a different RTP version. This has been exposed by a design blunder in Fruit Frenzy, where one of the alternate RTP versions has a "double pear" visible on reel 2 at stop 40. This CANNOT be explained away as a "movie/display artefact", which a few RTG casinos have trotted out when players have mentioned fewer bonus triggering symbols seeming to appear when watching the reels spin, because this is a STATIONARY display of the final result.

Before the questions were asked, we all assumed that all RTG slots were fixed RTP and the same all the time, and at all casinos. We later managed to get admissions that RTG allowed operators to alter the RTP of games seemingly at will, and WITHOUT telling players. This was revealed when paytables were seen to be different for the SAME table and VP games at different RTG casinos. We then learned that the Reel Series slots were "adjustable", and in what could have been a "fire fighting" exercise we were told that there were only THREE variants, and that changing them was something that had to be requested through RTG, and was not allowed more than once in 6 months. This gave the impression it was something that "would never happen" in practice, and now we know it IS HAPPENING.

All we need to do is see which RTG casinos have moved to the "double pear" variant of Fruit Frenzy, and see if after the move the general experience is of "tighter slots". If there are many RTG casinos doing this, then the process does not seem as hard as we were lead to believe, since the "red tape" does not seem something that operators would put themselves through lightly, especially given that they are supposedly stuck with their choice for another 6 months.

You are one of the few left that actually make sense and bother to try to get us to understand. I have always enjoyed your posts, even if a few of them were over my head (to put it mildly!) and I will truly miss you here.

Maybe you will change your mind, more than a few of us will be watching for you.

Ahhh....the bizarre and insane Stanley Kubrick. So you're not losing it then Rob? That is good news. Not sure I could stand losing you too. :laugh:
 
This is sad and unfortunate. You'll always wonder what prompted Mr. Rusty to take the final step and leave the forum, albeit not for good(hopefully).

Dave had a way of conveying his thoughts and revelations to us as none other on this forum, most often straight and to the point. Or straight and stab at the heart if you will, something that was necessary in an ever-changing world as the one of online casinos, businesses partly shrouded in mystery.

I, for one, wish that Dave will eventually return to this forum, actively sharing his experiences with us as they were unbiased and insightful. If you do pop back in Mr. Rusty, I honestly believe there's always room for you and your views.

Meanwhile, take care and best of luck at whatever venture you partake in.

Hiya: I also do not know you, and most of the time had no/little idea what you were talking about, being in the US, and not being a slots player, and such.

But I do know this. The whole reason this forum exist, is for Players who know something, to be able to share that something with others. It does not matter if they agree, or like it or not. What does matter is those who DO agree, or like it, and make any adjustments that may be required.

This only happens, when you have different People post, on the same topic, and the same voice. This board needs your voice, and for that matter all our voices. A lot of the times it makes no difference, Buuuuuuuuuut.........every once in a while it does. That alone is a reason to stick around.......Is it Not?

You knowledge, insight, and opinions will be missed. Everyone did not always agree with your findings, or theories, but that is what made them interesting. I know you always made me think twice. Also, the sheep game was fun.

If this is farewell, then good luck, and thank you for all that you have done. I know your posts will be referenced hundreds of times for discussion sake. Perhaps you will one day return. You will be welcomed back with open arms. Take Care:)

It is not so much who other people are, that is imposible to know. It is how we view them. When it is with a negative attitude then or any other attitude that is not understanding and nurishing, know it as a red flag saying" I need to see this differently." We create the world we see by viewig it. Inside our interpretation is the reality of it all. It is not out there in them. Love these people you want to run from. Resistance, confrontation, alienation is a continuation of their "lost soul vibe". rest now, sleep, come back strong and quietly. All is well!

Hiya: Not to highjack, or change the subject, but this always amazes me. On every message board, you get new people on the board, some, "like this one", even have a, "Introduece yourself" section, set up for people to announce their arrival. Go back and look at it. It also says to tell WHY you are joining the board, and what you want out of it, and/or have to offer......

So...........Why is it ok to say, "Hi, I am New, I am here because...............
But it is not ok to say, " Goodby, i posted a lot, and I am leaving because.....
????????????????????????????????????????????????????:confused:

If it is OK to say Hello, then it is also OK to say Goodby........
 
Rusty, I cannot count the number of times in a month that I come to the same state of mind that you are in right now. I have found that revelations of true, ugly facts are rarely accepted without a fight when money is involved. I have to constantly remind myself of my own knowledge and observation of the human condition.

Nothing that challenges the power and control of a tyrannical or financially biased mode of operation will be received without an offensive response, from those that are benefiting the most AND the least. Usually, the ones that are at the top have the shrewdness and experience to gracefully attempt to manipulate the situation to their own advantage. The ones at the bottom are the most irrational and aggressive.

No profound injustice can be corrected without conflict. Before the process begins, I gird my loins and carry a big stick.

I am a fighter and though I may often feel old and weary, I simply cannot stop fighting. I may lower my sword from the weight of carrying it, but I cannot leave the battlefield and abandon what I know is righteven when every fiber in me wants to retreat. Im sorry, Rusty, but you are not capable of leaving the battlefield and you are not of a complacent or ignorant nature. You, my friend, are not made of the characteristics that are required to be content and at peace with what is blatantly wrong.

Dont go...you'll weaken your allies, which I consider myself to be one of.

Sorry to see you go, I'd wish you'd reconsider. But sometimes everyone has to take a stand on what they believe in, even though some people may not understand their reasoning.

I'm not sure where to begin with this one. I come on here and look for intelligent discussions and information regarding online casinos. I always look for posts or threads from you and it has enlightened my mind tremendously about online gaming.

The discussions at times were heated but what I liked about your posts were the facts and not the theories. I for one am going to truly miss your posting and knowledge so I hope that you really do reconsider and see how many people you have affected and who do need your insight.

Thanks for everything that you have contributed and hopefully more in the future. I also had a blast with the sheephead quiz.

The very reason I myself had "heated discussions" with Rusty was because most of what he posted was just supposition and theory - he never backed up any of his claims with actual facts.
If he had ever proved any of his claims I would have been just as happy to go along with it as anyone else.

That said, I totally respected his beliefs, intelligence and sense of humor, and will miss him as much as anyone else.

Then I will have to agree to disagree with you. I read most of the post on this forum and when I'm looking for something in particular I type in that subject or the forum member's name to see if I can find anything to help me when I'm sitting on the fence about a certain casino, etc.

Many a times what I'm going thru at X casino has been posted by Rusty and sometimes by yourself. When something keeps repeating itself over and over again and you have many voices complaning of the same thing when is it going to stop being a theory.

Hopefully he will come back and continue his discussions with you and the rest of the board.
 
There is absolutely nothing wrong in taking a stand on an issue you believe in, but when you do so in a public forum, you are inviting the opinions of others. If you do not want feedback on an issue, then it should be put in a blocked blog.

Rusty has brought up a lot of subjects that are not popular and I commend him for it, however, when you are in an informed environment you should expect an exchange of ideas and have your ducks in a row to handle them.
At least when someone responds there is a certain level of respect. Some of us are actually shunned for our opinions, which is total disrespect and has ran off more than a few members.

Whether someone thinks differently from you or not does not necessarily make them an enemy or a friend.

Will be a shame for you to go Rusty. You appeared a rare voice of reason and objectivity in a world where both attributes are rarely found together.

Best of luck in whatever you do in the future - and I pray you don't give in to disillusionment as I am prone to do....

I feel a sense of gloom at your departure as I suspect we hold similar feelings on very important but controversial topics - but where I don't have the posting history to create widespread group support (I would conveniently harassed or shouted down upon posting such observations) - I strongly believe you had the popularity and respect to make the same points, AND actually get people to consider them for their face value.

I am sorry to see you go.
