A story of great fortune and turd fortune rolled into one !

I was given 100 free spins to the value of £10 , I played them and won £8 , From this £8 i won £375 get in !

I attempted withdrawal and was told the most i could win from those free spins was £100 , my remaining balance was taken away amd i was left with £100 , Still not bad , The email stated "You can now request a withdrawal of your winnings is you wish"

Seeing as it was only £100 i thought i might aswell carry on playing rather than make another deposit , I had done this many times before including recently at slotsgenie , where i won the £100 once i got through playthrough and then went on to win £250 from that balance and withdraw it succesfully.

I carried on spinning and my balance was down to £50 then i hit a whopper , over 1000x stake (£350) , I thought i best check with livehelp before making a withdrawal .......

I was told that the most i could win from this was still £100 as the winnings had still come from those original free spins ...GUTTED

Now what really annoys me in this situation isnt the loss of winnings , It's the casinos tactics in the matter and the terminology they use , They will be very vague when they really do not need to be .

"Please be advised that we have removed 175 GBP from your Real Money Balance, as the maximum you can win and withdraw from Free Bonus/Free Spins is 100 GBP. You can now request a withdrawal of your winnings is you wish."

SO i was back at £100 which i understand from the rules , I had won the max , And was left with £100 which i could withdraw "if i wish" , from playing other sites where you can then carry on with your winnings and the fact my £100 withdrawal had not been processed along with the " if i wish " comment i thought the money was now mine to do as i wish with .

IT wasnt

I won £450 and arrived at the same problem as earlier where all the winnings over £100 would be taken off me .

Now if this was me and i was being direct with someone , My message would say along the lines of....

" congratulations you have won £100 which is the max you can win from this bonus , Please make your withdrawal now as any further play could result in loss and no further winnings can be made "

OR even better

" The max winnings from this bonus are £100GBP , Therefor the further winnings have been removed from your balance and we will now process your £100 withdrawal "

I asked them if a player misinterpreted the rules and continued to play and in turn lost the £100 would they have it returned to them as they could never win more than the original £100 and it was therefor a no win situation

They said "no" if a players continues to play it is there responsibility .

When i asked about the phrasing of the email , "You can now request a withdrawal of your winnings is you wish." , I said it makes it sound like you have a choice / an option by saying "if you wish" , They replied "yes you have the option to withdraw or not withdraw " , Which to me isnt an option or a choice really , £100 squid in your pocked or nothing .......

When i asked about them declining my original withdrawal of £375 and returning the £100 max winnings to my account instead of just processing the £100 as a withdrawal ( seeing as though i had already been in the pending stage and waited numerous day , while having my documents and play checked ) , They said it was because i had not asked for a withdrawal of £100 , i had asked for £375 .
So i would have to start the whole process again even though play and docs had already been checked , My balance was the most i could ever withdraw and my only other option was to play and lose .

I know this has turned into a big rant ( i love a rant ) , And its honestly not about the money , Rules are rules , But it really seemed to me like the casino where pusing for me in numerous way to continue on and lose that £100 bonus winnings to , Now they cannot be blatant about it but there where so many aspects of common sense and time management missing / left out of this whole episode that i can only think its been done on purpose and that is something that really gets on my tits .

IN a world of supposed responsible gambling and gambling aware i dont think this behaviour cuts it , It honestly seems like nowadays the Winning is the easy part , Getting your winnings in a timely professional manner is the hard part

Rant over haha

Would love other opinions on this , Not so much on the money front as the small print says what the small print says , I got £100 for nothing which you cant complain about ,
But more about the strategy and the lacking common sense statements and processes ,Surely it could be so much easier than they makie it !

thanks

There have been a handful of threads on this and very similar topics, all resulting in the favour of the casino.

As much as you prob's don't want to read this a max cash out is a max cash out no matter how you dress it up :(

T&C's will always override what CS tell us,

I have only been 'bitten' once (at VPL) never again, best to cash out and If you feel you're on a roll, then re-deposit ;)

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news :p

Thanks Jon ,

I completely understand about the winnings side mate , It depends on the casino , This time i wasnt so lucky , ITs more that ti seemed to me the casino was making it difficult and vague in attempt for me to also carry on and lose those £100 bonus winnings

No worries, your welcome :)

I do have the occasional thought (although players will never be able to prove it) that maybe support / live chat etc are maybe instructed when in these situations to use vague terms, actually hoping that players will possibly mis-understand and re-risk their balance/funds.

After all the casinos are there to take our money and I'm sure they're gripping it real tight before they have to let go in some cases when we as players make a 'free raise' they want to reluctantly hand over as little as possible (ie the max in T&C's)

This clause/rule was not so rife yesteryear, made a small fortune from 'free's' when I first 'started out' however it is more common nowadays, there are still plenty of casinos out there that do not 'cap' free winnings.

Can't name any 100% off top pf my head but I'd more or less suggest that it is some of the ones within the accredited section at CM.

Its just the practise i do not like , You go into a land based casino and the only thing against you is house edge , At the end of the night when youve had enough or are to tired you leave , And if your lucky you leave with winnings .

Online casinos , Or at least all the ones ihave encountered are more like , At the end of the day when your tired or have had enough and you have been lucky enough to win , The casinos the keep your money and hold onto it for the best part of a week , Yeah you have attempted a withdrawal but that means nothing as its still there to be canclled an nobodys gonna look at it for 2 or 3 days .

I would just love to play a casino where all you had to beat was house edge , The live help where there to help the customer rather than the casino , When you withdrew the money it was dealt with right away and in your bank within 12 hours no questions asked .

Usually any casino where i feel they are being a bit devious or sneaky i block right away as i dont think they deserve my custom but that list is growing massively recently

Just to add the £100 i did win was fast tracked after my discussion and i had it in my account within 90 minutes which is obviously great but also shows how quickly the process can be done if needed instead of 3 or 4 days
