I am not overly bothered since I have almost 1,000,000 points, and will lose around 10,000 Sunday night. This STILL leaves me with more points than I know what to do with.

You are more than welcome to pass as many of those my way as you would like to!!
I will put them to very good use!!
Actually i gift a lot on other boards as it is free advertising for GG and the boards don't mind me doing it so really I will put them to good use!
I have never gifted before, but have considered it when I have racked up similar numbers of points. This was 2 of John's Crazy Deals, and I netted 1,400,000 points for the pair. It has taken me since then to play them down to 1,000,000
John tended to keep gifting turned off most of the time because he felt it was being abused, or that pressure was being exerted by "scroungers" on other members.
Some of the games are up and running, would you mind trying out the following:
Also are you finding accessing the forum, chat and the other static pages on the left hand menu all okay now?

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e07'
[Microsoft][SQL Native Client][SQL Server]The conversion of a char data type to a datetime data type resulted in an out-of-range datetime value.
/membercheck.asp, line 350
UPDATE.
I have just had another go with both IE and Chrome. The above OLE error is an impenetrable block that stops EVERYTHING from working.
What puzzles me is that some members CAN get one or two games to work, yet when I try these games I get the OLE DB error.
This OLE error must therefore be "member specific", affecting only some of the members, rather than everybody.
There is now no chance of me meeting the Sunday deadline for playing 1% of my points, or entering the members area at least once.
I also have no idea whether I have any points missing, or have lost anything else. This will all have to wait until the Monday fix, which hopefully will clear this OLE DB issue.
