Casino Complaint Golden Palace denies over 2000 euros in winnings

Somehow it seems to me that Casinomeister doesn't care about this issue?

Why is this? Is it because there is an sidenote of Golden Palace in the roguepit about unethical marketing (streaking)?

I think if you treat this casino as a rogue (stealing winnings) you should also mention Golden Palace as a rogue in the rogue pit?

Bumblings, Blunders and Negligence

The "Bumblings, Blunders and Negligence" section is reserved for casinos that either screw-up something fierce or are negligent by failing to protect their players from software bugs, stolen data-bases, or commit other acts of serious stupidity. In the military it's called "dereliction of duty" and is punishable by fines or imprisonment or both. This is the list:

Golden Palace - Playtech - Kahnawake - Stupid Casino Tricks

So please help to fix these two issues or change your rogue pit section....

I heard from a friend of mine who also played on golden palace that they were running a nice promotion. And terms did not say it was invite only or not open to all. So I called the support if I claim that promotion code and they say nothing about that my account wasnt eligable or anything else and I received the promotion.

Are we getting the full picture here?

I have never had an offer from Golden Palace but most casinos do have something way down in the terms and conditions saying that it is to the receipient only.

It's a horrible thing to happen but it's also possible GP were legally correct on this one. Does seem harsh but without seeing all the terms it's hard to know sometimes.

So long as the player was open, such as asking if they were eligible first, then GP are NOT legally in the right.

If a player is not eligible, CS should tell them this when they ask, NOT credit the bonus and leave it for any winnings to be confiscated later. This ALSO fits very well the description of "unethical marketing practices".

Players OFTEN do NOT receive the emails they are supposed to, so casinos must often get queries from players who think they have missed getting an email they should have got, and this is what CS are for.

CS work for the casino, and if CS agree to give a player the promotion, they bind the casino to honour it within the standard rules they have for the promotion. It is too easy for casinos to get away with "ducking & diving" over promotions anyway, so if they skimped on training their CS to save money, that's just tough, they shouldn't expect to be allowed to get away with punishing players because they acted on something CS said was OK.

Casinos also know DAMN WELL that affiliates will pull out all the stops to lure customers, and this often included listing each and every promotion they can find for the casinos they are an affiliate for, and putting them on their site. GP affiliates even SPAM these promotional codes to anyone at random to get as many players in as possible.

WELL RUN and REPUTABLE casinos have systems in place to prevent promotions from being credited to those not eligible to start with, so this kind of problem does not arise, although they get complaints from players who do NOT get their bonus when they use codes "from a friend" (or a spammy affiliate).

I agree.

I am not sure if the OP did infact ask if he was eligible. I was really just saying if you borrow a code from a friend and don't get confirmation you are eligible then you are in a difficult position.

I am not saying that is what this poster did but unless you see a transcript of the email or live chat then it's not certain who is in the right and who is in the wrong.

Part of the OPs post was this:-

I deposited 650 euros on the 1st of May to receive an 100% match bonus. After I contacted support they added the bonus after a few hours. So I was playing baccarat and blackjack and between the gambling I deposited again another 650 euros. After I met the 50.000 wagering requirement I casht out a massive 3400 euros.

He claims to have contacted support. If CS added the bonus, this is the CASINO'S responsibility. They should have TRAINED their CS staff better, such that they made proper checks for eligibilty beforehand. The problem here is that the casino reversed this AFTER THE FACT. The "rogue" element in this is that it creates a "heads we win, tails you lose" situation for the casino. This is nothing more than a scam, one of many Golden Palace have been involved with in the past, as well as their unethical marketing practices.

Their entry in the rogue pit is perhaps misleading, as it mentions it's marketing, but does not explicitly warn about how it treats players.

No casino should be allowed to use confisaction after the fact as a replacement for getting proper systems, and trained CS, in place to start with.

They are in the Rogue Pit. Wrongdoing is wrongdoing. All the OP can do is PAB and see what comes of it. You cannot ask the Casinomeister to do anything if the OP has not come forward with the issue themselves. You have to read the rules it states what the OP must do in order to get this resolved.

I had similar issues with Golden Palace (I found this website at the time when I was looking for other people who had had problems with them). Instead of cashing out nearly 6000 they kept changing the wager requirements and they only let me cash out when I was down to about 890!

Still, I'd only deposited 100, so at least I got some money out of them which is better than what most seem to end up with!
