Gladiator JACKPOT Hit! 4 Year Payout Term?

I doubt it was the OP that hit. They likely saw it had hit and made this thread. The lack of details in the thread from someone who normally doesn't post as it seems screams volumes to me. Hate to be the downer but someones got to be that guy.

The amount was £2,015,367 from what I can see (on some jackpot tracker sites) - the winner is the first winner of this jackpot too - congrats to whoever the winner was :)

iirc you need to get all 'Gold' helmets in the bonus round to win the jackpot.

I did that in a Ladbrokes bookies once and got £500!

I thought the same thing. Now that you spoke it out loud, I looked at his profile and see pretty normal posts on the 35 he contributed. There was one a few weeks ago that's says he got 8 gold helmets "so close" on this game. Maybe he has been playing quite a bit and did actually hit it.

Winner Casino

There's a rumour going round the winner was at one of these sites. How pissed off would you be if you found that out after hitting it? It could take up to 40 years to be paid!!

Anyone got any more news on this?

Looks like the winner will be paid over about 20 years. Disgusting considering the casino is paid ALL the funds by Playtech IN FULL.

•8.4.4 You are aware of and agree for the following withdrawal policy:

-A maximum of £40,000 will be processed 10 business days after the initial 4 business days.
-Withdrawals will be processed up to a maximum of £50,000 in any 30 days period.
(i) For non UK residents:

If the amount to be withdrawn is greater than what is permitted, the amount in excess of the maximum will be returned to the player's account, allowing the player to withdraw additional funds when it is next permitted in accordance with this term.
The foregoing applies also to Withdrawals of progressive jackpots. Withdrawals depend on all conditions specified above and the verification of all required documents as set forth in clause 9.4 below.

Let us hope that your not very good at Geography and Switzerland means United Kingdom.

Gladiator Jackpot history of €2,374,847.22 to a lucky winner from the United Kingdom

On any note, this poor player has to put up with some rubbish payout schedule of the jackpot whilst the casino gets hundreds if not thousands of new players (suckers) thanks to the publicity.

So the casino owners will roll in someone else's cash giving no guarantee that they won't personally use that money to buy their own boats/luxury cars/vacations or simply use the money to pay other winners? Let alone no guarantee that they will be around long enough to pay it back in full? Sickening. If I were a crook and had all that money sitting in my bank account for 20+ years, I sure as hell would use it. It's not like the poor winner can do anything about it anyway. Worst case scenario for the casino is they stop their activities and/or start again under a new name.

Why would Playtech pay 2.7M to winner.com without demanding that they give the money immediately to the winner though?

I don't trust softwares that allow casinos to do that, especially since suspicious "jackpot winning" events did happen in the past *cough* Rival and Irish Luck *cough*.

Poor sod. Gone from extreme joy to complete confusion in the space of a few days. No doubt it will be kindly paid back into the players account by Winner with some sort of play-through term attached to it.

Well done and unlucky is all I can say.

Well, if it was won by someone in the UK as the press release says, then they'll get paid £50k per month. So, just then four year or so, then

Thats awful, imagine having to wait each month to chase up money that should already be yours, with the added stress of not knowing if they will even be around before full repayments are made :(

Even 4 years is a long ass time when you have no guarantee that the casino will still be online tomorrow, especially now that the winner just gave them a good reason to disappear.

Getting paid in 30 years by the state lottery is cool with me; having 2.7M hijacked for 4 years by people you don't know and who won't even reveal their identity, not so much.

I wasn't the biggest Playtech fan to begin with, but because they allow such bullshit, I'll never play any of their casinos ever again. That's the only way that we, the players, can make any kind of statement.
