Well hi-de-hi all. I've been studying poker for many years now. I always just played for fun on the Zynga poker app. It's only now I feel ready to risk my own pennies on a real game. I looked around and found a few different sites, and the one that caught my eye was one named 'GG Poker'

I would like to know if others have played with these guys, and would love to hear your thoughts before I deposit my, ahem, £20

I tried it a bit earlier on. They didn't have sit&gos really unless you like playing with too much luck. I hope they get more scheduled tournaments and especially more options for sit&go-games. But the site should be trustworthy. I got my money without problems and their support is way superior to Pokerstars.
If you like cash games...I think they had low stakes tables too but it's worth checking them out.

Fab, cheers buddy

imo pokerstars is still the best software but gg poker isnt bad either. Just started playing tournaments there. What I do find is that its more short stack play I'm running in to as with pokerstars, so you need to be able to know ranges accordingly to be profitable in the long run. Therefore I would go for a slight tighter bank roll manangement. E.g. where I use 100x buyin as a default for my bank roll, at GG I would apply 125x buy in. So e.g if you bank roll = $1250, you should play $10 tournaments.

No clue about cashgames there, last played them 10 years ago :)

Ok, not the best license and I would definitely not play casino games.

Good advice. I'll just feel my way around for a bit & see what's what.

And I definitely will NOT be playing any casino games. Had a mare with a Gibraltar based Bingo site back in 2012 playing one of their roulette 'side games' 25k confiscated. But I'm over it now.......

...........I'm not!

I think it has a more fun software with all the different options and avatars. But pokerstars is seriously the best software for poker itself. But you can also stake other players on gg poker so that's a good thing.

After seeing final table streams on youtube and bringing back memories I am pondering a return to poker. Is this site still good? Does it have sit n go's? Does it actually have deposit and withdrawal options Canadians can use? I just checked out pokerstars again and geez is that ever depressing now, barely over 100,000 players on a Sunday afternoon, played 5 card draw cash tables and you barely could get on a table, now hardly any tables at all and the lowest dollar amounts.

Then I remembered why I stopped playing, cause they changed the structures to make it more gambling instead of skill, and that it was way too much stress playing, lol. I miss Full tilt poker though.

Can you even make any money at poker now?

Pokerstars comes as a complete package.

Slots BJ, Roulette and all forms of poker from tiny stakes to big.

You also get paid in an hour or so.

Can't see the point of going elsewhere.

Be a huge difference from coming from zynga mate 1c2c is my advice, good luck mate ✌️

Sorry and in response to your question🤦‍♂️, prefer partypoker seams more traffic especially lower stakes.

Haven't played poker for years now but the best software I have ever used is pokerstars, I've qualified for the Sunday million for as little as $1 before, there's a lot of value on the site.

Bbiiiggg difference from zynga to real life, I wish you luck and like Jan has stated bankroll management is a must
