Ok - I'm going to start this thread about German beers. If you like German beer - post a pict of you drinking it either here or in the gallery :D

When it comes to drinking local German beer - here are my favs and the occasion:

Grilling:
Normally a good pilsner, export or lager type beer (Keller Bier), or something of that nature. It should be thirst quenching since you are around fire and heat:

My favs are here:

Ha ha - when checking out that page, you have to confirm that you are 16 or over.

I can drive 5 minutes and pick up 10 liters of this - it'll cost me about EUR 12. One of the reasons I love living here

And then there is the Keiler Weissbier. This is great for chilling out or eating food with friends. :D

I usually am drinking this during my webcasts - i.e. chilling with friends.

That's just cruel! Beer-wise the rest of us are riding the Stoopy Train.

Right now I am in the next-door country to Germany on our annual summer vacation to the Czech Republic.
This is another country famous for it's huge variety of great beers, but alas I can't really recommend any of them because...
1. I'm with the family, so I don't go out boozing.
2. I'm trying to cut down on the drink anyway, to shrink the beer gut.
3. I have a shit-for-brains memory and can never recall the names of the beers I really like!
