Genuinely bothered or not?

Not read whole thread so maybe repeating but....

I think this has to be the most clever marketing ever

What they say: Whilst stuck at home you maybe inclined to want to deposit/play more so here are the RG tools available to support players who feel they may need this help...etc...etc...etc

What they mean: Hi its 'xxx' casino, remember us, you have an account, you can play slots, you can give us money...

:p :p :p

Had an RG tools email from at least 20 different casinos, some I've not used in years and years!

"xxx" casino, where you have an acoc*nt......

That wasn't a Freudian slip at all, was it Jono?

You were playing at pornhub casino again, weren't you? Ya dirty wee rascal

Have received those "please be careful and come visit our site to set limits and totally not to play" emails from a bunch of casinos.
But also the number of calls from telemarketers have reached an alltime high.
I thought i had blocked every number out there, but apparently they had more.

No, i dont want to change my phone-plan,isp,etc.

It is but i would be doing exactly the same if i was in compliance.

Blanket emails are less costly than targeted. No room for human error either.

They are victims of the system they have to abide by, like us, in that respect.

Exactly, problem gambling and COVID-19 is quite lot discussed on this forum too, it makes sense for operators to send these as they have something to back up that they have actually done something to interact more with players during this time.

Not worth of making too much effort to start to pull lists and segmenting players based on who have limits, who's deposits have increase XX% etc.... Sending same basic RG email to all, works well, they who don't have any limits are advised to set one and those who have, get email as well and can review if decreasing limit would be needed for now

Blanket emails to all, you don't at least miss any player outside of your segments in any scenario.

Maybe opt-out from all marketin emails, sms and calls (or maybe only calls and sms if emails don't bother) that shouldn't take long time to take effect (and for new places possibly registering account, check which boxes ticking :)

I don't think that a lot of the 'companies' (or Bob from his basement trying to scam you) that make these calls etc have you opted into start with ;)

Don't know about Sweden but in the UK they've started to use the area codes to have a better chance of you picking up - Eg in Glasgow, they'll ring with an 0141 number with the premise being you might think it's a pal

Luckily, I have no friends so that doesn't work on me.

That's a lie - Harry sometimes rings me to discuss nature documentaries.

yeah, same here.
Either its a local number showing or a cellphone number.

Casino shouldn't be allowed to contact you with any of their offers without your consent, could imagine that they do follow that rule if player haven't opt in to marketing thingies for some route. Of course if you opt-out now, you might receive your call in next few days as at the time segments created you were opted in, but at least personally haven't receive anything from places i have decided not to.

When they use 3rd party companies to their phone campaigns, it's their responsibility to call only people who allow it. Haven's yet heard casinos make cold calling (hopefully not giving ideas to anyone here now :D ).

outlooks fine, i use it for my casino mails, so spam mainly :)
better than what I started with from Demon, Compuserve and Freeserve back in the mid 90's (i think)

Yeah, seems like online casinos are bombing with their tricky reminders to get you somehow back to place a bet. But be more attentive and you will notice that most of the other businesses that you are subscribed to receive their communication emails/calls/SMS are doing the same...

Had a shed load of ‘ we care ‘ ‘ please don’t gamble beyond your means ‘
‘ we have RS tools ‘
Yeah very few of you have lock withdraw.
even fewer check sow/kyc on deposit..
and the lot of you never email me all this before the ‘virus from a country that cannot be mentioned happened’

Comical.

pfft IRC & text newsgroups could be fun :)

Still having IRC open in shell all the time, some peeps i actually still only communicate through it, it's kind of handy and there are people who don't wanna be part of social medias like facebooks etc.. and it's much better than any FB messengers or something... 2-3 semi active channels i'm still in, just because of mod rights and love power to kickban people :D

I was expecting a lot more, in fact its the opposite, had hardly anything offered to me in the past few weeks.
