I heard they were launching gamstop in the UK im wondering if anybody has any idea when?
If it does what ive heard and stopping people from gambling on any UKGC site i think this is a great tool which should have been brought out years ago imo.

Any thoughts?

It is in the final stage of testing now and on course for release Q2 2018.

Beta-testing is open for a small group of problem gamblers currently and if you want to join this group drop me a PM and I'll forward your details on to the development team :)

This will be a great scheme to help problem gamblers going forward.

Hi nicola. Yeah think this will be great for problem gamblers. Ive been gambling for years and although i dont see myself as a big problem gambler i do feel like stopping and this would eliminate any temptation to go back.

Thanks for the offer though i will have a think and let you know.

@Nicola a question for ya.

Once it has been introduced will it mean that any casino you self excluded from in the past even though the self exclusions was not for problem gambling reasons but because we did it out of spite? Will those casinos pass that info onto the GAMSTOP system and it will block us everywhere that has a UKGC license?

Or do you think it only blocks us if we submit the form via the GAMSTOP website?

I only ask this because I did a few self exclusions at skyvegas and unibet and a few others out of spite and not because I have a problem because I do not. I just am a bit worried if what I asked above will be the case or not?

Thanks in advance :)

Much the same as me. SE at a couple of sites to stop spam and/or to stop any temptation to return to them and am hoping it won't come back to bite me on the arse!

But, the more I think of it, it would be nice to remove all temptation from chopping and changing sites and to stick to just one ore two trusted casinos, but I presume that will not be possible.

I have just closed 90% of my online accounts, only 2-3 left open at the moment, which will also be gone by the end of the month if things don't improve - if this does impact on me then I am not too bothered but it is definitely a long time coming for those that can't control their gambling.

As long as u dont wont to stop by your self i dont think this program will be suksesfull. people are going to exlude them self on good casinos and the when they cant play there they are going to play on dodgy casinos. That is what i think. The ganestop had to come from the soul and the brain not from a program. Sorry if i sounds negative but im so bad write in english so im trying to not write tu much
