Gambling vs Enjoyment

My gambling career began some 25 years ago when I got into betting on college and pro football through a local bookie. Many of you probably remember the drill. Call him early Saturday and Sunday morning to get the latest lines, hang up and think and call back 15 minutes later with your bets. Then meet him early the next week to settle up.

This lasted about 3 years until I had that fateful weekend losing 14 out of 15 games and was done. But it took me several years to again enjoy sports simply as a fan rather than just spreads, over/under and scouting reports.

I am slowly reaching the same dilemma in my quest to figure out how to spank all the donkeys on PokerStars . I am beginning to not enjoy a firendly card game with friends or family.

Can anyone relate to this?
