Gambling Online Almost Banned For The U.S Player!!!!!!!

Well the gambling ban is just one part of the puzzle of what is being taken away from us. Did you know RJ Reynolds has lobbyed to ban consumers in the US from purchasing tobacco products online as well? According to the site I purchase from, this ban should take place in the next month or two. I prefer to purchase online because I can get natural smokes and pay less than half of what the Reynolds products cost.
But these things are just a sample of what is in store for this country and the entire world once the new world order crap takes full control. I know some of this is off subject and yet not, but people should be listening to alternative sources such as Alex Jones, Steve Quayle, Allan Watt (not sure of the spelling), there is so many out there telling the hard cold truth. We have totally disconnected from public media such as tv, newspapers whatever as the content of what is given to the public is controlled and watered down or outright lies fed to the population to keep us in a waking dream state as they behind our backs are stripping us of everything we hold near and dear.
Our freedom to play online is our choice to do this or not do this, not their choice! Our freedom to purchase better bargains online is our choice, not theirs! Our freedom to go where we want and not be taxed for it is our choice, not theirs! Our freedom to choose safe medicinal treatments is our choice, not theirs, take a look into CODEX! If a person doesn't want to take concocted vaccines that have been formulated in hideous ways, this is our choice, not theirs! What we do in our lives is our choice, not theirs!
When Bush made the statement, that "you are either with us, or you're with the terroists", he told the public that from now on, if you are not in agreement with everything they do then we will be deemed as terrorists! So in other words, if you don't want their shots, you're a terrorist, if you play online, you're a terrorist, if you buy smokes online instead of from RJ Reynolds, you're a terrorist! If you breath to much CO2 in a day, you're a terrorist! If you protest against our freedoms being stripped away, you're a terrorist!
The one thing that the public needs to do is remind these friggin idiots, they work FOR US, not for the ultra rich that are gaining control of every facet of our lives.
So this being said, our right to spend our "entertainment budget" is our business not theirs! And they should be asking us how to make it better rather than saying we have taken this away from you because you are stupid and you will do as we say, not as you want.

My posting my opinion means I'm a terrorist!:eek2:

Not a terrorist, just an ostrich. Isolating yourself from the mainstream media just means you only let in those ideas that you agree with and shut out everything else...like what's really going on

Not an ostrich by any means, nor isolated from news and such. I just choose to listen to, reseach and study the alternative information through many internet sites that are not at the very extreme top of it all owned and controlled by a small handful of very powerful people that will only give you enough to keep you interested and hold back enough to keep you in the dark. But I know some people would rather be fed OJ police chases and trial for weeks on end while the real news slips by unseen. So does it make a person an ostrich because they break from the flock, nope, but you go ahead and run with the flock as we all have done for generations. Who truly is an ostrich then?

Other than the obvious fact of excessive government intrusion on a private and personal pastime, I think what bugs me the most about the US situation is the breathtaking and barefaced inequity of it all.

I'm grown up enough - and cynical enough - to realise that this is a big and often bad world, but the manner in which politicians, national sports bodies, religious conservatives and vested interests have made Internet gambling a political football to be manipulated at considerable cost to both the US and online companies is amazing.

And the one-sided nature of the legislative carve-outs is quite extraordinary, as we have seen in the WTO clashes.

Almost every form of gambling known to man is sanctioned in most of the US states, where there are convenient exemptions for online betting on horseraces, state lotteries and fantasy sports, there are compacts with sovereign tribes being made all the time and all manner of questionable and intimidating conduct by enforcement agencies.

And yet there is this big moral outcry and often deliberate misinformation on Internet gambling, for which there is clearly a huge demand by ordinary Americans. This is illustrated by Internet gambling revenues in the States which, despite the obstacles placed in the path of US players, has been estimated to be $5.9 billion in 2008 and $21 billion from players worldwide, according to gambling industry consulting firm H2 Gambling Capital.

It's almost surreal.

And here's a great example of the sort of hypocrisy that so often permeates US political decisions:

State Senator Margarita Prentice: Internet Poker Foe, Keno Friend?
By Caleb Hannan in PoliticsFriday

Senator Margarita Prentice only hates certain kinds of gambling.
?
The state budget crisis is causing some Washington politicians to reconsider the role gambling might play in bridging a $2.6 billion gap. Gov. Chris Gregoire says she's considering allowing four-minute Keno games to help raise up to $30 million, a move which has earned her an unlikely ally.

State Sen. Margarita Prentice is no one's idea of a friend to Washington gamblers. In 2006, she sponsored legislation that made online poker a felony in line with possessing kiddie porn or torturing an animal. A bill seen largely as Prentice's attempt to help Indian gaming interests that heavily contributed to her re-election campaigns.

So why is Prentice considering sponsoring the Keno legislation? Maybe it's that climbing out of a budget hole on the backs of gamblers is more politically palatable than taxes.

Or maybe Prentice is just trying to help Washington's math-challenged students. After all, Advanced Algebra looks easy compared to making a winning prop bet.

i think no Im positive that G W Bush and Dick head Cheney have to be the two biggest bumbling politicians that ever drew a breath on planet earth

in the middle of fighting what has become the third world war they take
time to turn on the regular population and ploy to strip freedom of recreation
from the ranks of the same group of the population that they send into harms way

While at the same time arguing that the best security we could possibly get for our home ports is the working force of of the country that we are protecting  and supply a home base for a multitude of money processors of the same E gaming they want to deny [impose dictator ship ]

for our own good  because they know whats better for us than we do

[then cheney shoots his good friend drunk hunting and never even reports it to the authorities not even his staff did

but the owner of the property were They were boozeing and hunting with loded firearms , in the state of texas

Now after all that cheney writes a book on how bush was incompatant
as president i like his backstabbing draft dodger style ;)

he definitely takes the award for being the lowest life species

bush is the other side of the same coin

Ps dont get me started on the day after thanks giveing:)

I don't need to derail another thread but OMG Bush vs. Obama, I'll take Bush. :what:

Well having enjoyed online gambling for many years, i almost can say for certain , Americans will be scraping the bottom of the barrel when funding their deposits from now on.

I talked with someone at Wired Plastic today and they assured me that all gambling sites that have been used by patrons in the past will now be blocked, this has been something they have been working on for awhile, she did say some may get lucky and it will slip by but doubtful, she also said that other Pre Paid cards are following suit or have already implemented a plan to ban gambling with any pre paid cards.

I wonder how long it will be before Quick Tender/ Usemywallet follows their lead not to mention Ewallet accounts.

Laurie

I wonder if, now that UIGEA enforcement has been pushed back 6 months, and the wheels have started turning again re HR 2266 and 2267 (Frank Bills), the prepaids will reconsider. I hope so. I have an ACH in process, which I am going to try to deposit once it hits.

The attempted banning of online casinos inside the USA is not about Religious, Moral or Ethical factors... it's ALL about money.

These elected political ass holes are getting their pockets filled by the US land based casino owners who are scared to death of online gaming and who now have an army of lobbyists in Washington who are throwing money around like they own the printing press...

This entire UGIEA thing has always been about one group of business men trying to use their political power and money to legislate their competitors, in this case the online casinos, out of business or at least out of their markets.

The thing that disgusts me is that the elected will pretend their concern is all about our kids and/or our well being, but all they really care about is filling their pockets...

Well let's be honest here: a plotician's priorities will generally be career first and the electorate second - it's just human nature and applies the world over.

In an ideal world, a politician wouldn't be able to participate in, vote on or sponsor issues when they have received any kind of funding from parties with a vested interest. But since when did we ever live in an ideal world?

Or how about the fact that the Republicans that pushed the UGIEA through in the middle of the night on their last day in power by attaching the UGIEA to a completly unrelated must pass bill, the Port Security Act... had their pockets filled with millions from Abramoff and his buddies.

What I find funny is how Abramhoff and his little buddies Ralph Reed and Grover Norquist manipulated the Evangelical religious right into supporting and giving them lots and lots of money to TOTALLY outlaw gambling... When in fact Abramhoff and his buddies were working for land based casino owners trying to protect brick and mortar gambling establishments and keep online gambling out of the US.

BTW - Ralph Reed is still 'working' the Evangelicals... trying to get as much out of them as he can.

I'm a firm believer of this taking place, and I'm sure the money trail can't be traced. Only wish we could have facts.

Now let's just hope the money is getting to the right Democrats, and maybe we'll have a chance.

I agree, I would love to see a full accounting of everything that really happened.

Some of the money can be traced... Besides Abramhoff, a congressman went to prison as well.

It is just that the Republican Senators that pushed the UGIEA were the most powerful in Washington, at the time...and we all know powerful politicians don't get prosecuted... they resign and/or fade away.... Or they show up on "Dancing with the Stars".
