I tell you what, with the money the UKGC is raking in and allegedly earmarking for 'gambling harms' , UK problem gamblers will soon have a residential 5* haute cuisine national rehab centre to rival the Ritz.

If they collect another million or two, perhaps they'll hire Gordon Ramsay to be the head chef.

Yeah, if only they would apply the same sort of "crack down" on their land based casinos. You know, asking their patrons to present pay-stubs and bank account statements when they deposit funds at the slots or high stakes tables. This appears like another agenda laden political move against the online casino industry.

I would have more respect for the UKGC is they actually did something about this, rather than just fine operators.
Why have Kindred not lost their license over this? Not the first time they have been done for it, yet they are allowed to keep doing it.

For me the UKGC act like self employed parking wardens... the more tickets you give out, the longer you stay in your cushy job, so they stick the parking notices on pretty much anything.
Not to disrespect much of their work as they have clamped down on the ‘dodgy practices’ but now seem to be digging around in fairly squeaky clean online casinos determined to uncover something....anything (eg a casino we know who went to great lengths to try to comply yet were pinned down for not detecting fake ID several years ago).

Edit: I love how the rather large amount of stolen money wasn’t located by our wonderful (and overstretched) policing department. It took the UKGC to investigate something from years ago for the victims to be compensated.....hmmmmm.....
