This complaint is made for two reasons and follows a very frustrating experience with Customer Service via email.
The rep for L&L Europe has also been non-responsive.

If nothing else I’d like to make this public so that the casino has some impetus to make changes.

    Issue 1:

    Withdrawals

I have made previous deposits via Visa. On Friday I deposited via Skrill and then requested a withdrawal, also via Skrill as it was the most recently used deposit method.
Withdrawal sat pending over the weekend and was then reversed on Monday.

The withdrawal was reversed as it needed to be made via Visa as this was my original deposit method.

During issue 2 the withdrawal was reversed several times until today (Wednesday) when I was advised that actually my withdrawal couldn’t be processed via Visa and had to be Skrill as this was my last withdrawal method.

    Major Concerns:

    1. Why couldn’t the withdrawal just be processed to the required method by accounts

    2. The withdrawal didn’t need to be reversed at any point after the first reversal

    3. Lack of clarity and understanding by accounts/CS on their own policies

    4. The withdrawal request was made on Friday, it’s now Wednesday and it still hasn’t been processed

    Issue 2:

    Documents

This was my first withdrawal and I was also asked for document verification, the T&C’s state that this doesn’t have to happen until a certain withdrawal limit is hit but can be asked for at any time (OK.)

Two of my documents were rejected and my withdrawal reversed again.

One of the rejected documents was my Skrill account because it didn’t show the date and time of the windows desktop in the bottom right hand corner.
I personally feel this is a ridiculous stipulation but admit that it was clearly requested and I didn’t comply.

An argument ensued over the second document.
All I could find was an electric bill that was dated with one day left of its validity (the min requirement is three months and mine hit the three months day after submittal).
Customer Service rejected the document because it was too close to the expiration. It’s the only document I had easy access to so argued my case but after a 10+ email exchange I was then led to believe it was OK and if I submitted my Skrill screenshot it would be resolved.
The document was then rejected today as it has now expired and my account hadn’t been verified

    Major Concerns:

    1. What’s the point in a validty period if it’s then not acceptable

    2. Why isn’t each document verified on its own points i.e. the address could be verified without Skrill

    3. One of my Skrill screenshots showed a transaction date within the past three months, do they really need a windows desktop screenshot showing the date and time in the bottom corner?

To compound all of this, Customer Service refused to freeze the withdrawal or close my account (I was advised I can self-exclude, but that’s not the reason for the closure).

This has been an incredibly frustrating experience and feels like people either don’t know what they are doing or they are using stall tactics in the hope of me spending the money.
Luckily I have applied limits to my account to stop me playing on.

So you refused his withdrawal to Skrill as it had to be to Visa, then refused it by Visa as it had to be by Skrill? Have I read that right?

It's about time there was a common policy at ALL casinos.
Between the casinos that I play at, there are 3 different policies, and each casino maintains that their policy is correct under AML regulations

    For example.

Videoslots - I have to withdraw to the method, with which I've deposited the most. In my case Neteller. So even if I deposit with Visa, I can only withdraw to Neteller

Casumo - I can only withdraw back to the method used for that deposit.

Betat - My withdrawals are usually split between Neteller and Visa. The proportion of the split depends on the amounts previously deposited via Neteller and Visa

So who's policy is right, regarding AML regulations etc?

Videoslots makes it easy to money launder
    Other 2 are right.

Videoslots for some reason always seem to (in my opinion) misinterpret regulations

Doug was answered in a PM. This was a mistake from our side, hence all the confusion.

Bottom line for us: Withdrawal goes to last method used.

William Hill i deposit by debit card paysafe and neteller.

Withdrawals are always sent to my debit card as it was first used and used most. Even if i do 5 deposits in a row by Neteller the withdrawal still goes to Debit Card

I believe they are doing the right thing all of them. It's easier to have a rule that claim that the last deposit method needs to be used, but that doesn't mean they are forced to.

I've deposited with cards and Neteller at 32Red, always cashed out to Neteller. At Guts I earlier could deposit through Trustly and cash out to neteller, since i used that most. Unfortunately that stopped when Yits left. I've managed to do it at other places too.

At VS you can change method but then you need to be consistent with how you deposit, so it's the same you use most.
Their way of doing it is best I think and I still need to verify my method of deposit, so why that would be easy for money laundering is hard to see for me.

Imagine I have 20k in Skrill from selling drugs online.

I deposit £10k into VS using my visa card. Play low risk stuff withdraw £9.5k
Deposit £9.5k from Skrill, play low risk stuff, withdraw £9k to my visa
Deposit £10k into VS using my visa card. Play low risk stuff withdraw £9.5k
Deposit £9.5k from Skrill, play low risk stuff, withdraw £9k to my visa

£20k deposited, £37k withdrawn, nice and clean.

The other 2 ways are MUCH harder, if not close to impossible, to launder money through.
    Videoslots is nice and easy.

It's enormous amounts you're using as examples. They would immediately ask where they came from and not let that guy cash out so easy.
I believe it could be done earlier but not these days.

I've heard that they often start with low amounts to see how it goes, and to show they are normal players at first, but I guess you've heard that too.

So no, I don't think VS are that easy or they would be full of people who launder money there, and I doubt there is.

I don't think anybody would dare launder such unremarkable yet noticeable amounts. I'd imagine they get many 'associates' to gamble small, and often.

Just my observation based on, err, what a friend said that time

Talk about doing everything to not pay a player and make it as difficult a process as possible. I have been through something like this before with a casino so I feel for the OP.

    Ridiculous

Oh and nice of the rep to just "forget" to respond. Especially after everything this person went through already

Hope you give this player a nice big freechip after what hes had to deal with

SOW requests are pretty much european, so it could easily be done from other countries. The amounts don't matter, the fact is, that system allows money laundering to happen, change the amounts to £1000 instead of £10000, or £100 at a time, over a longer period of time, few times a week, still gets the same result. If all casinos worked to the same system, even working on say 2 x £500 deposits a week at each casino, you could easily launder £100k a week.

I've dealt with ML cases in the past and its astounding the lengths people will go to, I've seem people launder over £10k in £20 transactions to stay under the radar.

Then lets hope that places who do like VS have a system that protects them. What I'm trying to say is that I doubt that either VS or other places who do like them are breaking any law or making it much easier to launder money. I maybe have too much faith in some operations, or really the people behind it, but I do believe they know what they are doing.

You are questioning a lot and that is great. I'm always trying to see the other side of what you're questioning though. It's a habit these days :D

All I'm doing is explaining how it could be done, you had said you couldn't see any way it could be done, I'm just pointing one way out :).
I'm not even sure there is a law saying casinos have to do any of this, I did look for it previously and couldn't find it, I think its more under the general 'stop money laundering' part of the license, than a specific rule.
