FREE SPINS VS MATCH BONUS

Many a casino are now offering free spins instead of match bonus or a combination of match bonus with free spins. Am I the only one that see's little value in free spins when you consider that , as example, 50 free spins on a game like "Star Burst" has a total value of $5 when compared to a 25% or 50% match bonus on $100 which gives you $50 in play credit.
Some casinos offer Super spins which may give you less spins but at a much higher coin rate.

I personally avoid free spins that replace deposit match bonus. Am I the only one ?

No!

I much prefer (on the days I take a bonus at all) a percentage match.

You know exactly what your getting before you start and your required WR
Free Spins can and often do pay very little
On very rare occasions you can win an insane amount and inherit the associated insane WR!

All this goes out the window of course if the FS are wager free but then there is the old chestnut 'Free Spins will be credited the following day'blah blah blah.

I recall 2-3 occasions where FS have led to a withdrawal

I recall LOTS of occasions where a &age match has stopped me busting and led to a cash out!

Free Spins are fine though. It depends on which games and if it's a fair value. IMHO WR on free spins is fine since it's equivalent to a bonus (with uncertainty of the actual value).

You also fail to specify if like Guts the FS have no wagering on them. A decent amount of free spins (say 20% equivalent of deposit in value with no WR) is infinitely preferable to me than say a 50% bonus with WR.

In general shitty little 10p spins on St*rb*rst or 9-line slots are pointless even without a WR - unless there are a large amount say 50/75 or 100.

So I can't vote as the options aren't inclusive.

I agree, getting 50 spins at 9 cents a push or 1 cent a line is useless when you need to deposit $50 or $100 . If you convert 50% deposit bonus into free spins of similar value you need to receive 500 free spins not 50. On a 10 cent a push game which most ive found seem to be.

I think they are OK as long as it's a DECENT number of spins on a DECENT game.
5 or 10 is totally PATHETIC really, especially when the are at minimum bet (as they usually are).
Even 50 spins on Sh*tB*rst is only €/£5 at minimum bets = basically a load of crap.

If they're totally free (no deposit & no WR), that's fine.
Otherwise I would rather have a DECENT match bonus with SENSIBLE WR.
