Hi everyone, Hope all is well! I wanted to get some feedback from as many as possible before I went to my VIP host. The casino I play at is now under new management. They just recently started doing the wait till 24 hours for free spins that are attached to deposit bonuses. I remember vaguely this was talked about before. What are your collective thoughts? Most importantly, why would they do this? The emails I get everyday seems to have free spins attached, so it's raising red flags for me. Thanks :)

If they give you like 10 freespins every day for the next 10 days then it's obviously because they hope you will keep logging in to the casino each day (plus you may forget some days and they won't have to give you the freespins) Either redepositing or at least making the casino one of your regular casinos for when you deposit in the future
If they give you all the bonuses at once then you may lose them all the same day and never return
Even waiting 24 hours they want you to return to the casino ofc or the flipside you don't return and they save the freespin value so it's a win-win for them . Probably some study has shown that a lot of people will deposit once on a casino , lose their money and never return but if you can make them login at least once more then they are more likely to eventually become regular customers

Why bother. I don't play at any casino that doesn't give bonus or promotions instantly. Is it really worth the wait for 24 hours to plat a whopping 20 free spins that in total only values $2. The point of these silly promo's is simple, they hope that these lame spin offers will tempt you to login suck you into a deposit or two. There is no other reason for these lame spin bonus offers.

In short it is called:

Player Retaining Strategy

This includes:

- FS 24hrs after deposit or at the end of the promo
- Trivia where you have to log in every day
- Collect XYZ points/spins/etc / day to receive a extra reward
- Subscribe to Facebook/Twitter etc for extra promos
- Reload bonuses
- Weekly/monthly loyalty bonuses/cashback etc
.......
- List is certainly not complete

It costs the casino most to get a player to register and make his first deposit using the SUB. After that they try everything possible to retain you and make you a loyal player as then and only then they will make proper profit from you.

My loyalty does not take in account the few FS i get for a deposit...it is rather how the casino treats me, how quick they pay and how reliable they are.

I absolutely hate when a sign up bonus boasts 100 free spins and then it turns out to be a stunt like this. If you want my customer loyalty, then having quality games and a quality service is the way to do it. Not spamming my inbox about free spins that expire in 12 hours. Psychology-wise, I think I would prefer something like "Sign in 10 days in a row, receive 100 spin bonus."

I did learn the hard way when starting out so now I double, triple and check all T&Cs on any offer or new casino I visit. Yep, welcome ones get me too when they are divvied up for each subsequent deposit, or based on meeting a certain deposit minimum which is dealbreaker for me if the minimum is more than I am comfortable with.

I don't mind playing with FS on a few sites like VS where they are wager free and reward system to me is reasonably straight forward. Though I get why WR exists, but say you won $10,000 on ya first FS and WR is 75x-does that mean I have to roll $75,000 worth before it's cashable? I think I prefer deposit bonus $$ if WR is relatively attainable, like say 20-40 times is ok to me when choosing a site. I also hate limits on the % contribution per game-when specific slots are excluded or offer less than 100% (Jackpots, I get that one though) it's like you need to print the lists while scrolling to remember which ones not to play-especially if the site doesn't offer a popup warning beforehand you could risk losing everything if accidentally play a game that's not allowed. And if the site doesn't provide easy access to balances and you're roughly trying to do the maths in your head to work out how much rollover remains it mucks ya up.

I hate the WR on FS wins when you end up with a silly, tiny cents amount in the bonus balance and then it prevents cash out or other features until it's it's been rolled over but it's too low to play haha. I don't care if I bet away all my FS wins, but sometimes it be nice to win enough to have a little bit more of a flutter on the site before commiting to bigger deposits/loyalty.

Also, not sure if coincidence but feel like some of the sites I have tried and ultimately didn't like or seemed like dodgy ones, FS rounds always seemed to pay during the round so I go ooh, must be hot I'll keep it up and play with cash after and then boom, dead:what:

For sure these offers blow, and although I don't mind receiving daily free spins they are never of a high enough quantity to be worthwhile anyway eg 5 spins on high variance games, or at best 10 free spins on non-bonus games like Sh*tburst.

But as mentioned, the fact that these spins aren't even cumulative and generally expire after 12 hours or so is just annoying, and I wouldn't even bother using them. I see it as kinda insulting and if anything will deter me playing at that particular site, so when all is said and done these kind of offers are counter- productive for retaining experienced players.

So they were instant and now have to wait?

I always assumed with casinos that made you wait that it was a technical thing related to their setup. As in, the need to run reports on those who qualified then manually load them or import the file for a mass upload.

If a casinoni played at went from instant to wait a day I'd tell them where they could stick their account.

In my opinion that is an underhand approach to make an offer and hope you forget to make use of it.

Thanks everyone for your in-put. I will be sending this link to the Casino in question.I'm not sure who the new management is, or if they own other casinos, but every little bit helps, right? :)
