actually the tournament doesn't open until tomorrow so that's why you couldn't get in :D

I played the "Grapevine" tournament yesterday. The good thing is that there isn't any investment involved, the bad news is that it is only 5 minutes, and the reels seem to spin looonnnggggerr than usual (coincidence? I think not)! I also got the three rams with about 10 seconds left, so only got one of the bonus spins before the session ended. (Sucks) I played some of the smaller denomination tournaments as well, but about the same result.

Personally, I'm not too interested in this new thing. I guess it is o.k. to goof around with the free ones, but there are also ones that you can enter for $2, 5, 10, 20 etc., each. The top payout for the person that finishes first in these paid events is so measily, that you are far better off getting a fair to medium size hit just playing as usual at the regular games. For example, the $10 game had a top payout of around $15=20 I believe. Playing these for cash is in my opinion a waste of time. The $2 one I saw had a top payout of a whole $6!! I'd rather gamble if I'm going to gamble. The free ones are o.k. though, but I'm sure I will only play those when I happen to log in and it is about to start. There is a two hour time period between most of the free games. Good intention I guess by JF, but just not that fascinating to me.

My experience with the Grape Vine one was pretty crappy. I woke up and got to the computer with less than 1 minute left before it started (and therefore registration would have closed) so I thought that was good.

But about 30 seconds into it, I got the lovely "Sorry, we have a casino error" popup, which closes the casino after you click OK.

I reopened it, and all the tournaments were gone from the listing.

Closed and reopened it again, same thing.

I checked tonight and the tournaments were back; I ended up in 800th place or so. They really ought to work the kinks out of these things before they offer big prizes like that. This isn't the first time I've gotten that generic error message. I know it's free and you get what you pay for and all, but still.

Hi everyone,

It's great to hear some feedback on the tournament from people who actually played. Please don't let your negative experiences be a reflection of me! I would like to report that we are working with MGS to fix some of these bugs and enhance the gaming experience.

I am happy to say the free tournament was deemed a success and that there will be more special blogger only activities coming in the near future so stay tuned....

All the best,

I just tried to play another of the tomb raider free tournaments. I was registered, and when I went to load the game to begin, I got an error message and was logged off. When I got back on, I wasn't registered anymore and I couldn't get into the game. This gimmick is backfiring on you David. If it doesn't work, what's the point? Like I said in my earlier post, it isn't that great of a deal anyway and it is free. Can't understand why you would risk irritating people like me that spend ALOT at your Wild Jacks site. Anyway, no big deal, but I guess this thing has too many bugs for me to keep playing. Off to a competitor to play now.

Well well, you can make amends for this by having a slots tournament for casinomeister members only. With me, guys? Hah!

Pacers31,

Thanks for your candid feedback. Apparently MGS had some connectivity issues across the board this weekend with their MPV play.

I would appreciate if you could PM me with your account number so I can look into your case specifically. I can honestly say we do our best to provide a fun gaming experience.

I don't think that is quite true. MG certainly had issues, but it was not "connectivity", it was a "handicap" scheme updated to the Multiplayer servers. There was a dead giveaway that I discovered last night. When I got the IDOL bonus, clicking each idol got me an INSTANT responce, normally when the connection is slow, ther is a delay revealing each idol as the server has to send back the next revealed amount each time (can be seen in "normal" tomb raider).

I also tried the Ammazzacasino event, one player had NO problem at all, reaching ZERO coins, and another got down to less than 1000. The others were in the 2000 to 3000 range for the most part, but issues were SO BAD for me that I only managed to get down to 6000+ coins, AND missed the last "continue". Since Ammazzacasino was ONLY at AllJackpots, how did a couple of players have no/few issues, wheras I had severe issues for a solid 3 days of the weekend.
I have not tried the other casinos offering these tournaments to see whether the issue is only play through All Jackpots, or whether it was general to all lobbies offering the tournaments.
I might try again today to see if there is any difference, perhaps at a different casino and again at All Jackpots, probably wait for a free tournament to appear at both.

Even without the recent issues, the design of these tournaments is very offputting now that the novelty value has worn off.
It is pretty obvipus that the hold is well over 10% to the casino in these events, whereas normal slot play has a hold of 5%.
In the sit and go, it is easy to see the hold is precisely 10%, which is a rip-off (I also notice almost no-one ever plays these).
With the sheduled events, the calculation is harder, however it seems highly likely that the hold is greater even than 10% for the most part, as most players will use the continues as it has become clear that you stand ALMOST NO CHANCE of winning without them, and thus the potential max hold to the casino is found by calculating the take for all registered players using all available continues, and the real hold will come near to that in most cases.
Short events can be watched in real time, and you can see each time any player uses a continue, and the exact hold can be calculated, and it is far higher than many players would be comfortable with given that slots generally are 95% payout.
MG currently issue NO FIGURES for the net payout on these tournaments, do they have something to hide?

I have not tried the other casinos offering these tournaments to see whether the issue is only play through All Jackpots, or whether it was general to all lobbies offering the tournaments.

I recently switched to All Jackpots to play these tournaments because they are very slow at Royal Vegas - MUCH slower than they are at All Jackpots.

But the problem with the tournaments disappearing altogether seems to happen a LOT more frequently at All Jackpots than it did at Royal Vegas.

You can't win.

Same here. It would suck so hard to get a big feature win in a tourney and getting only a few times your entry fee in winnings.

Still waiting to hear from you Mr. Brickman. How long does it take for you to respond to your customers? I want to give you a reasonable timeframe to reply to the info that YOU requested, what is that reasonable time period???

can't get a reply from my emails?

Alljackpots casino

I have emailed them quite a few times I even left a message on the David's blog (not sure if it got edited)

I just can't get a reply from support or David.

I have sent 3 email's about 3 DIFFERENT issues!!!

1. When I first downloaded your casino site I never got the free spins (sign up bonus) the page wouldnt load it kept coming up with an ERROR. I did get one email back saying it can take 48 hours for a reply, think that was 2 weeks AGO.

2. you gave me $20 to enter the 20k weekender I wrote emails to you saying I cant enter as I already had an entre in the same tourney at Royal Vegas and told you to take the $20 back, no reply from you yet again?

3. I won a place in Mondays tournament PICK A PRIZE , I got a place and an email that I followed the link and picked the $80 bonus cash, I have sent 2 emails asking when the money will be in my account NO REPLY from you yet again?

What does it take to get a reply?:notworthy

Four phone calls to alljackpots while talking to them I asked if they could send me a test email while we was talking, received it in 10 seconds.
I asked if they could re send the emails they said they had replied to my emails, nothing.
Even tried a different email address test email fine, the replies to emails nothing.

Final phone call they said they have passed it on to Technical Support and I will hear from them in 48 hours.
Anyone have any idea why I can't receive emails from them but can get all the promo emails (it's the same address for support) but I can't get the reply emails.Seems I can get some emails and some I can't.

Don't say have you look in your junk mail and yes the support is on my save list.

Jackpot factory are the KING of lost E-mails.
I had a lengthy testing session with their VIP support ages ago, and we tested several scenarios and different E-mail addresses. The fault is often intermittent, but it seems nothing concrete ever came of this, as we still have bursts of E-mail problems.
As for the "choose a prize" tournament, I too chose the $80 bonus, never got it though, and it has gone way past the "up to 48 hours" mentioned in the small print.
On top of all this, we have severe ongoing problems with the tournaments. Some say the list does not load, others say they get chucked off, and many see long delays between spins waiting for a reply from the server.

I cannot view the player & prize list, and when I can it jumps back to the front page after about a second, so it is damn near impossible to actually READ the prize list, player list, or tournament rules.
The severest problems started a couple of weeks ago, shortly followed by all the lobbies updating. I am convinced MG are hiding something that they did to "handicap" the tournaments in some way - something that has lead to knock-on problems for pretty much everyone. The "errors" in communications are way too predictable, and respond like clockwork to certain user actions, acting like a user action throws some sort of switch, and another user action throws the switch back again.

I did an experiment just looking at the countdown clock, and ignoring the reels.
First, every 5 seconds I hit "spin". Barring interruptions from bonus rounds and free spin triggers, I experienced NO delay between hitting "spin" and the server sending back the game result. I then increased the speed I hit "spin" and at around 4 second intervals something VERY weird happened, suddenly it took 5 seconds for the server to respond EVERY SINGLE TIME. I relaxed and allowed 10 seconds to elapse, and then returned to 5 second spins, and lo and behold NO delay again. This can be repeated, and the 5 second delay kicks in again under the same conditions, and disappears again after a 10 second pause, so "communication issues" my A$$e:mad:
I have just received an E-mail from Royal Vegas apologising for yet another week of tournament errors. One wonders whether they have used a low specification server for these, and got caught out when many casinos started running their own specials alongside the MG central tournaments, they introduced some kind of rationing gate at the server end, and it all went a bit "Pete Tong":D

 I tried the same things as you and you can only get so many spins a minute, also got the lagging in the spins and server cut.

In poker you get beta testing, so they can see what’s ok and what isn't.
The beta testing players are real people who play poker and can see what works and what doesn't (have been a beta testing player for poker sites)

I think the people who put these tournaments up haven't a clue how to play them, with what works and what’s wrong.

Can you spot the mistake (alljackpots) in the win win Wednesday?
you shouldn't be doing the rebuys (hint rebuy and prize)
Wonder how many people do the rebuy in this one?

I can't believe they have the same tournament running and no one has emailed them about it. But then maybe they have and haven't had a reply (because they make money from the rebuy in this one!)
Work it out and you will see

Ok if alljackpots want beta testing I'll put my name down. :notworthy

mondays pick your prize

I sent another email to all jackpots this morning and an hour later I got a phone call from them, a guy called ALEX and he sorted out the $80 bonus.

Once you press on the link and pick your prize it does say they will send you an email to confirm the prize as I havent been getting the emails I didnt get the conformation email (smart guy ALEX). So Alex got onto promotions and then an hour and half later he phoned me back and said it was in my account.
Well done Alex from all jackpots.
