I'm sure nobody will miss them but I'll have to skip posting my big win pics because most of them are atleast 750kb. I tried to upload my last win and it was rejected because it's 700kb... One of the main reasons I'm a member here is to share and view big win pictures.

Isn't it possible to make some sort of exemption for that part of the forum?

but all you have to do is open with paint and resize

While that's a possibility for PC users it isn't for mobile users. Also you're making people jump through more hoops just to post a picture. I'm sorry to say but there's plenty of other casino big win screenshot places out there that don't restrict to 500kb (what the hell is 500kb these days with private gbit lines).

Ditto - i had a few bonanzas and wondered why it was so big so, in the end, i just just decided this shouldn't be that difficult and gave up. I mean, come on.

Been checking some of my screenshots, none are any bigger than 140kb..that's on a Win 10 laptop.
Still, in this super duper tech age i would think forums could cope.
They can. This is by design, and makes no sense whatsoever

Unless worsening media options is now called 'progress' and 'streamlining'

So what's the point of these changes, other than to make the site worse?
Bandwidth and server space I would imagine.
Must say as such a large amount of user interaction is based round videos and pictures, the allocated file sizes seem quite low. Most my screenshots seem to be between 2 and 2.5mb, it's a right pain having to resize loads to post. People just won't bother :(

Along with Groups alienating the site's cohesion we now have this masterstroke, to presumably save a few quid

This how my screenshots turn out.
I use windowskey+printscreen because that way it creates the image right away without having to open a separate program to save the image.
Size would probably be alot smaller if i opened paint and saved it as a .jpg instead, but thats several seconds of extra work, several seconds i tell you!

I'd humbly suggest, most people think of what they think to be a reasonable pic or video size so Bry or pere can check it over and see if there's wriggle room or a compromise (not saying there is) but it'll give them a fuller view.

I've not kown either to not be open to suggestions - and well, it's right there in the OP:
Let me know if you have any issue/doubt / suggestion related.

Allowed file size should be at least 1MB IMO, and even that's probably a bit on the mean side.

I've no problem with the forum software automatically resizing to 800 pixels, but at 500KB a lot of folks are going to have their attachment outright rejected and simply not bother.

As I said, most my screenshots are around 2-2.5MB. On top of that, photos from my Samsung S8 are around 4MB, and from my G7X are about 7-10MB (jpg) to give an idea of common file sizes.
500kb is extremely small.

With JPG the size of your DOA1 highroller screenshots could be 6-7 times smaller, and without a significant difference ;).
