As you can check there, these Big Vid Uploads are affecting negatively our Server speed and affecting some other content areas as well.

I understand the video links, but if you are auto resizing pictures, surely that will stop problems with big photos. Regarding bandwidth, if you are removing videos then that will save a MASSIVE amount of bandwidth/server space/speed, so could you not increase the filesize up to say 5mb for pictures, which should be enough for pretty much any picture.

5MB Per Picture?, that's quite colin, take a look this:

if you're using a compressed Image these 1MB should be enought.. we're not a Photography community.

I'm not sure who wrote those rough sizes but the RAW files I get from my Canon G7X are MUCH bigger than that, jpgs are well over those limits too, the list below are basic out the camera, no processing or anything done on them



My screenshots are well over 1mb too, all saved as jpgs

Anyway, was just giving an idea, obviously if you need them at 1mb, then you need them at 1mb I just think thats on the low side and will be off putting for people posting if they have to edit screenshots, especially using a phone.

Isn't just a Cost-Saving thing goat, just some pages aren't loading properly because these uploads, and this penalizes our Server Hosting Service. As I mentioned we're working on find some solution to this Video-Issue-thing.

I’d suspect the pages your referring to are the Brexit and COVID threads which are stuffed with attachements and really have no bearing
On the site subject matter of CM let’s leave the uploads to where they belong gambling related.

It would only take the handful of posters who think that posting endless and meaningless videos,memes and banners as if it is their main or only form of communicating then there would not be an issue. It is unhinged being so excessive

I see nothing wrong with posting such stuff at all. However I do not think it is unreasonable to state such excess is not normal or reasonable. The written word is available too in most cases
