    Hi Everyone,

I have just been told I have won a trip in the fortune lounge promotion to the Caribean on the Celebrity Summit cruise liner, for two people in April this year.
I am madly running around sorting things out(its only just over a month away.

Is anyone else going this year or has anyone been before and have any knowledge that could help..lol

Anything you may have heard would be great to know.

    Thanks Puppy

    Wow!
Way back in the day i used to play a good deal on FL, Vegas Palms was my choice, but i honestly thought those prizes were fake. I was pretty sceptic those days: so i am happy to read someone i "know" won one.
On the cruise itself, i used to work on such a ship, and i can tell you don't worry bout a thing: don't overpack, it will be warm mostly, and they have all the facilities aboard, clothes can be washed, grooming products purchased if you run out,
and mostly drink and food are provided daily, included in the price of the ticket.

If i were you, i would take some earplugs, since sleep can be tough when your not used to the various sounds:p
    Have fun!

They run an on board series of competitions, so one lucky guest wins a significant cash prize too. I am sure you will have to arrange your own insurance and spending money. Find out what is included in the prize, and what you may need to provide yourself. Hopefully, tips will be inclusive.

I have not won this one, but I did win a trip to the 2006 world cup final and a weekend in Vegas, so I know how other groups deal with such things. For the world cup trip, flights, accommodation, and the tickets were provided, but insurance and some extra spending money was down to us. We more or less did our own thing.

For Vegas, there was some VIP entertainment laid on, but we had a bit of time to ourselves. The purpose of the trip was to meet and entertain a group of VIP players, so things were more organised, and this will probably be the case on the cruise. Flights and hotel (in the casino) were provided, but spending money and insurance was again down to us.

In the case of the FL cruise, their news section provides reviews of past events, so you can get some idea of what to expect.

If it all looks to be too much, you may like to donate your prize to another forum member:)

    I am free all month:D

Actually, that's given me the idea for a new Hitman clone slot. 'Vatican Reels' 3 or more scatters (designed as pope's red skullcaps) starts the 'election bonus round'.
If you click puffs of smoke that are black you get a standard 10 spins x 2 multiplier. White puffs can be clicked for extra freespins or multipliers. After the freespins instead of the usual guff 'congratulations you've just won 234 coins' it can say 'Bless you my son, I award you 234 coins' or such.
We can have 3 staffs on reels 1,2,3 like the Hitman thing where you get a 'pick' bonus. A picture of St. Peter's square can be shown, whereby you click on the head of one of the thousands under the balcony and a beam will shoot from his hand to the person, and a halo will appear round his head with a cash amount. Then we can have 'the Dark Cardinal' symbol on the last 3 reels ( a cardinal in black robes) which triggers the 'Naughty Priest' assassination round.
Do I get a prize, MG?

Congrats puppydog, I am sure you will have a lovely time. See your physician to make sure you have all your shots, and there is a new medication out there taken in advance to prevent tourista. If you've never sailed before, get a patch for seasickness in case you have problems or rough seas. Brink sunscreen and bug repellant too. You probably won't have bug problems at sea, but may on land excursions.

A moneybelt or something you wear under you clothing is probably wise, ports of call are favourites for pickpockets.

Indeed. Also be aware that sewage and water systems on ships are pump powered and not gravity like in your house. If the ship stops, and you have no power, strong faecal smells will soon become apparent in all cabins, and bogs won't flush. If this happens, go up on deck. You will also be surrounded by many pensioners many of whom will not walk fast. Don't get behind them in an evacuation. Stay out of the casinos. Another thing - if in an internal lower deck cabin, work out 2 ways to get to the deck quickly, and when quiet at night run them and time yourself. Make an emergency pack of sweets, warm top, laser-pen, torch and painkillers and of course fresh water. If adrift these green lasers can be seen for miles.
Enjoy your prize, and tell us about it afterwards if you can.

    Hi Puppy

Congratulations on winning one of our cruise tickets. You will be joining 49 of our other players and their partners on an unforgettable cruise.

I have personally been on a few of these cruises and our players always have a ball. This year (apart from giving away €75 000 at the final slots tournament) you can also win part of the €25 000 cash we are giving away on board so I am holding thumbs for you.

Our hosts are all geared up to give you the best experience ever and they are looking forward to meeting you.

If you have any questions about the cruise, please let me know.

Enjoy and have lots of fun.

    Regards

    Wim

Congrats puppydog07!! Cruises are great - I'm always surprised on how good the service is, and there is always something to do. I've been on the Carnival cruise to Key West and Cozumel and the purser even memorized our names. On the Aida (German/Italian), the food is fantastic! And all the beer and wine you can drink (for free) during mealtimes.

Good going! Make sure to send us a cyber postcard :D

    BACK FROM AN AMAZING EVENT

    Hello Everyone,
well I have recently returned from an amazing journey to the Carribean with the fortune lounge group and there casino games cruise.

It was absolutely wonderful, extremely well planned and executed, we had the best of everything, the best rooms the best service and were totally spoilt whilst we were there.
The slots tournament were totally mind blowing , they have machines that can be turned from totally normal machines to be tournament machines , 8 machines playing each other even down to it showing photos of the person winning on each screen just awesome fun.
There was a tournament every afternoon with 20 prizes each night given away, the great thing about this is just about everyone won a prize of some size or shape.
The fortune lounge crew were fabulous fun and a special thankyou to all ten of them especially to Johnathon, Nick R , Audrey and Etienne, for the amazing help and care shown to us .

This is a promotion well worth playing for.

    Thanks Puppy
