Hi all. I recently had some amazing luck at Royal Vegas and cashed in a substantial amount. I have gotten checks from them no problem in the past, but support informs me they are now using Money Gram money orders.

A few questions: has anyone used this form of payment from FL Group, and if so, how long did it take and did the check/mo clear?

Thanks much!

If they do give you a money order you are 100% garanteed.( multiple money orders if its a "substantial" amount.):D

yes I did.....from 3dice....several times.
Ive never played at the casino you played at.
Still if they told you that ,....and you never had problem with em.....you couldnt ask for any better.
Money order are the BEST you could hope for.
Just waste few minutes at your Postal office and cash em....or deposit em on your checking.

PS
I could give you further details if you would be more "lovely"

he doesn't know what he is talking about. 3dice issues postal money orders, the kind you are talking about are sold by most check cashing places and grocery stores, which CANNOT be cashed at the post office.

She doesnt know what she is talking about.....
money order is a money order....it might not be cashed out at post office...sure.
I said "or deposit em on your checking"....
still it is a 'garanteed' money.
as same as mercy is a 'garanteed idiot'...

thanks

I appreciate the input, but I was specifically inquirying if anyone had used this method of payment from FL. I am familiar with the 3Dice method and they are great, but that doesn't address my question.

Also, my withdrawal is over $15K, and I don't think the p.o. would involve itself.

Either way, again, appreciate the input.

If this helps ,a moneygram can be retrieved at a Wal-Mart. You'll get a number and a name (from FL) and as long as you can produce those you can go to any place that has them and they will give you the cash. My husband had an RJ (at a rogue) and they paid him this way in 3 installments.:D

That's a lot of money, congratulations.

I think moneygrams are going to be a huge pain. Safe, but a pain. The max denomination is usually around $1000. If it's over $500, the grocery store or wherever where you collect it won't be able to cash it on the spot, you'll need to take it to a bank.

Also, moneygram is expensive. We're talking ike $50 per $1000 or so. I don't know who's paying the fees. Hopefully not you.

I'd inquire into other options. Wire transfer. ACH.

I'd even prefer a large cashout to quicktender, and then eat QT's $30 withdrawal fee.

Not only that, but 99.9% of money orders can't be made out for over $500. You might be able to get them up to $1,000 at banks, but don't quote me on that.

and kakata, sorry, but you're wrong.

A money order IS a money order, yes, but the ones 3Dice send you are actual USPS money orders. Those are the only ones that a post office can, and will cash.

and sorry to burst your bubble, but money orders are not guaranteed cash. Try to go to a check cashing store and cash a money order, if you don't believe me. They'll laugh you right out of there. A money order can be rejected just the same the same as a check can.

Even if you take it to your bank, they will NOT cash it on the spot, unless you have funds available in your account to cover it. You will have to deposit it, and the bank will make you wait for a money order to clear, the same amount of time it takes them to clear a regular check.

But anyways, I agree with Rhino. Since this is a large sum of money, it's worth it to use QT in this instance. Sure, it's $30, but saves you a lot of headaches.

And even though walmart will cash WU/Moneygram, you might want to check with them and see if there's a maximum you can get at your local store. I know for a fact that they won't cash a check (payroll or gov't) for anything over $1500 in a 7 day period. Even so, I would never use this option unless the casino was paying for it. Otherwise, use QT. If you don't have an account, request FL to send you an invite.

edit: Sorry, I just saw the sum (slow brain today.)

I seriously doubt that a Moneygram is even available for $15,000. Even if it was, there's a 99.99999999999% chance you'll have to go to a bank to get that kind of dough.

edit2: I was right. If they wanted to send via Moneygram, they'd have to do it in chunks.

How much can I send at one time?
Any amount from one cent to $10,000.00 can be included in a single transaction at agent locations. Most transaction types allow up to $20,000,000 to be sent in one day. Certain restrictions apply depending on send and receive locations. Additional identification and information may be required over certain amounts. Limits vary for money transfers initiated online.

QT is the way to go.

If I were you, I think I'd worry more about the money orders/checks never arriving then not being able to cash them. I know a player that's been waiting for nearly 3 months for a $9k cashout with one technical problem after the other. Last, checks were sent but were returned apparently.

Save yourself the headache and take your winnings by wire or QT. Not anything mailed in paper.
