Official FOOTBALL - Premier League, SPL & UK Nations 2022/23

Some bad, bad defensive mistakes, could have been 6 or 7 tbf.
I'm sure the Klopp is not gonna love waking up to find that most lfc supporters were suprised to find gomez starting. Needed to make a solid start, and it was embarrassing. Milner been getting shit from fans for the previous games, gonna be getting more shit tomorrow. I think Klopp took a gamble tonight with this team selection, and it fucked up. Napoli played well though, tbf. quick and dangerous on every attack.(its not an excuse, but it was humid too! ;) )

Thought Svegas got a fairly decent offer on for tonights Wales v Belguim, though limited max bet.

De Bruyne 2+sot and Bale 1+sot @ 5/1. This won't come in by the way, because I bet on it. The same bet is currently about 3.6/1 at BF, and an eye watering 1/1 at hills if using the shots on target acca

I see Scotland will be the only UK nation playing in the Euro Nations League top flight after winning their group, England relegated from the top tier lol. They can wave to us on the way up as they pass us going down...:laugh::laugh:

Useless twats:

What normally happens in such drubbings is that the team being hammered consolidates to keep the score down for the 2nd half, or the winning team starts taking it easy.

Somehow I get the feeling this'll be different, and that we'll see a complete Utd capitulation, maybe even a red card. Prepare for 7!

Nahhh we’re a different team this year. Last year we’d have given up, even with a second half City B team. This year we kept going and scored 3 in the second half.

Top 4 looks realistic for us, given Pool, Chelsea and Spurs don’t look great.

It was widely considered a beating by those that watched it and pretty much most pundits.

Were it not for the two very late consolation goals by Martial in the 85th & 92nd minute, Utd would've been on to a deserved 6-1 hiding, and far more realistic score.

The gulf between Utd and the teams you mentioned is vast, and I highly doubt conceding 4+ goals in away games at this rate is conducive to attaining CL football.

That said, barring this preordained result, Utd had been making progress of sorts since their opening two games, but I'd be very surprised if anything higher than 6th is achieved this season.

One need only look at Arsenal under Arteta, had an underwhelming couple of seasons whilst quietly clearing the squad of dead wood, and this season they're 'clicking' like players possessed. But I would put my Man U Entitlement Hat away for the foreseeable, because as long as you have Maguire in that back 4 I'd expect opposing teams to post cricket scores to be honest!

I might be wrong, and I very often am, but I honestly believe Ten Hag will get us 4th. City will smash many teams this season. They’re simply a tier or two above every other team.

Haaland is a monster - not seen anything like it since Shearer was in his prime. In these days of 100m players, 58m is the bargain of the century.

There was something posted the other day. He is currently on pace to score 66 goals in the EPL this season.
Which is both ridiculous and scary in equal measure.

SIXTY-FRICKIN'-SIX!!! That's Dixie Dean numbers for crying out loud.

Players around him makes him score, put him in another team then we will se.

I'd almost forgotten my life-masters Amazon streaming Premier League over the next three days, God knows they advertised it enough!

Having missed a segment of the match, I had the choice of Brighton v Forest, or Palace v Wolves, running simultaneously.

But foregoing the likely better match, I went to watch the might of Nottingham Forest, away, if only to see their motley crew of 98 new signings exhibit any glimpse of coherence.

So far they're found wanting, and really are pants. And despite Brighton peppering Forest's goal with about four attempts a minute, it has been great seeing Lindgardhino fall over trying to prevent a goal-kick during his solitary one-year, £180K p/w stint. Or seeing the mercurial Serge Aurier, he of Spurs & PSG renown, get subbed for heavy-hitters like Brian Tiffollo (I think that was his name).

Still, at 0-0, could Forest invoke the spirit of Clough and nab a shinned winner?....
