Was listening to a financial report today, and the question was asked, "why do people keep making the same mistakes after history proved more then once otherwise?" and the alleged financial expert replied "fish don't know their in water."

This reply made a lot of sense if you of course were listening to the whole conversation.

I immediately thought of poker and never recall hearing anyone ever using this metaphor at a poker table.

Your in a hand and get your chips in the pot with the best hand, only to get sucked out on the river by a 2 outter. You calmly sit back in your chair and reply "fish don't know their in water"

    What do you think????

Playing in a large live tournament tomorrow evening, maybe I'll get the chance to use this.
