hi all

I dont know if it is just me or my laptop or my internet connection but when playing wms slots i notice by the way reel 1 drops that a feature will follow from that roll of reel 1

reel 1 will drop faster then normal and thats when i know a feature is on its way and strangely never happens on any other provider

the slots i play when this happens are as follows

zeus
zeus 3
spartacus
kiss
amazon queen
elvis
bruce lee
lunaris
alice mad tea party

all wms....most strange but fun when it happens as i can shout out free spins before the reels have finished :D

I can do the opposite

I can tell it's another dead spin from Reel 1 Only,

Obs not every time but most times, not Just WMS but Microgaming also.

For random slots, the same reel arrangements happen way too often, even losing spins need to adopt some variety as close scrutiny will reveal them to be very similar.

Noticed this due to regular play and LOTS of spins but it has got to the stage for me that the element of surprise is almost if not completely gone.

On a side note, If I see that single fucking diamond on reel one only once more.........

I haven't noticed that one before jonmincher, will have a look at that next time I play.
What I do know for a fact is that you can predict when a big win comes in on WMS slots which sometimes takes away the fun.
There will be a slight delay before the next spin.
Zeus III and Red Flag Fleet are great examples where a slight longer delay in between spins implies a big win is coming in.
It is so obvious, you can't miss it really.
On above 2 slots it is best seen in the free spins rounds. ;)

On montzuma, when feature lands then freezes for a couple of secs I,m thinking big win? Yep 400x bet @90p.
I have done £6 spins, 4.8k win.
Got used to wms slots behaving in this way!

Yes, this is a old one -the first reel stops abruptly when the feature is coming in on Ruby Slippers, Rhino, Red Rag Week, Kronos, Montezuma etc.

On Rhino the diamonds have 3 different sounds - normal for one, slightly sharper crash when 2 are coming and a distinct 'crashing' noise when 3+ coming.

absolutely right on rhino one which i forgot to mention which makes sitting up in me chair when that happens waiting for that flashing win total box and the bottom of the screen to start glowing and seeing all those jewels running across as well but more often then not......bonus gurantee seems to keep popping up....

I have set a new 'World Record' This week on Rhino

3 deposits across 3 different brands...

A whopping 19!!!!! Feature guarantees (or just over £4 - £5.65) ((17 of the 19 were full on FG, 12 of which were back to back!!!))

I am pretty sure the machines I play that 85% of the time I know if its a feature dropping in, I also know if its going to be a shit bonus round, Its not always fool prove but like I said 85% of the time I grit my teeth,

I am not stating any of this is rigged, its just that you hit the right generated number and it happens that its the way its programmed, With all the new faster memory etc on computers now days

Its funny how the reels slightly change the way they fall when its bonus time but ive not mastered the quality of the bonus round yet.......apart from DOA and JATBS which is for me 99% crap also not forgetting CFTBL which is just as bad....will have to work on netent slots a bit more to try to work out when bonus will drop from reel 1 :D

I've always assumed that it is caused by loading the sound files needed for the bonus win, just not done very well.

This has been happening for some time. Initially I wasn't impressed but now I actually quite like it. It's a marmite thing I think. Ironically, back when Jackpot Party was around it was the exact opposite, you'd get a laggy stutter at the start of a spin that gave a good indication not so much of the size of the win but the number of pay-lines that a win would occur on. I remember one day playing Bruce Lee the machine stuttered so bad it nearly stopped and it was followed moments later by the "double bonus" of 20 free spins with all 4 symbols held and one wild reel. Awesome. I've come to like the "tell" ever since that day. The laggy version happens with Microgaming and Net Ent slots on some Quickfire platforms too.

I too like the WMS 'gimping'.

I really hate Quickfire, the fast spin = no win BS.

Gnatent don't gimp the spins as such but on DoA and TFTUT when the reels do the 'heartstopper' if you see the relevant scatter appear THREE times in the graphics as the reel spins you know it'll drop.

Depends on what site you play netent slots.

Play at all these multiplatform sites ie Guts VS etc. you cant tell if a features coming.

Play Netent slots on british bookies ie Ladbrokes and William Hill and u can.

Don't know why the slots play different but they do.

Hit spin at say Ladbrokes on JATB CFTBL etc. And you can tell every time whether you will get either the bonus or a wild on that spin. Hit the start button and you can count to 3 before it lights up on a normal spin and also if theres a wild or bonus the first reel stops a lot quicker than a spin without. If its a bonus or wild then the button lights up again almost immediately. Same happens if another wilds going to appear on respin.

Also works the same on starburst etc. At those 2 sites you can tell every spin if a star will appear.

must admit that does make sense......so it loads your feature win on the spin before ... I suppose if you have super duper broadband speed as well as the dogs B******s computer ( self edited ) this wouldnt happen or would be so slight you wouldnt notice it so long as the game provider and casino servers are top notch.

On a similar topic, at one casino (I forget which one now) it used to update the balance with winnings before the reels had stopped spinning! Took the fun away a bit as was always trying not to look at the balance. All I know is that I no longer play there for whatever reason. Worse culprit for this happening was on the DoA game.

That happens on Sky Casino too. It is normally caused by the platform having to integrate with the operator's wrappper and the reels take longer to spin than the transfer of the balance.

The reels need some WD40

Not WMS but jack and the beanstalk (inet) features can be predicted too by listening out for the "ding" sound that signifies a win as long as there is no other wins on the reels
example: two scatters land on reel 1+2 third reel lands with a "ding" sound to signify a win (three or four scatters) now the last scatter will land on 4 or 5 (or both).

ooohhhh will have to watch out for that one .........will turn up the sound when playing netent now :D.....that said ive just remembered that while playing jatbs when you get the wild square when playing the reels.....they also come in a bit quick, so as the wild square moves from right to left if the reels spin a bit quick you should get another wild square drop in. Hope this makes sense......
