Actually you can! ... Mafia Wars, Mob Wars , Zynga Poker... Evony (Latest Web Game - Not FB) are all aimed at attracting a mass amount of players. These little games are fun and can become addictive...

I used to play Zynga Poker on FB everyday... Its free Yes and so much fun...

For the record ALL those games including Farmville and FishVille (lol) have certain levels you can reach. If you want to have better levels and more weapons / powers / poker chips / gold ... You can BUY them

Now u get Free chips and all kinds of stuff everyday, but there are a good few people who are actually paying to have FREE poker chips... They All say its free... But they are making a nice spin off it...

I wont pay for Free Poker chips
