Anyone looked at the Derby yet this year?
As much as I think English King has a good chance, I wouldn't be taking 5/2 about it.
The one I like at this stage is Highest Ground, still available at 20/1 with Hills, if it runs, I'll be surprised if it doesn't get placed at least. He was very impressive in his last race, pulling away with ease, against a decent field. The question mark is, will he run. I think yes, as Stoute ran Ulysses in the Derby before he was ready, and I see no reason he won't this time, thats assumig he isn't quite ready yet.
I think if he is a confirmed runner, then his price will be closer to 5/1 on the day. I rarely bet ante-post, but will be risking £20 on him at that price, basically the bet is, 14-1 that he runs in my view, as you could lay off part of the bet on the day, leaving you a free bet at around 14's assuming he is 5/1..6/1 on the day.
