Really, am I the only one that is surprised they lasted this long? They were a fairly rubbish casino IMO.

Awful bonuses, many of them highlighted on here, long payout times, bad WD terms, eg one free WD a week etc.

I closed my account ages ago and told them at the time why and that if they didn’t buck up, their casino wouldn’t last, certainly in the UK market.

It's disappointing when a casino is rated solely by its bonus offers. most of high street casinos are own by some big casinos in Gibraltar or channel islands,

They are owned by umbrella companies like Entain and Flutter. They aren't casinos themselves. But almost all gambling companies are officially based off shore as a tax dodge, it's usual.

Pretty much the same as above - they went into reverse: very quick withdrawals at one point to 24hrs plus (most casinos went the opposite way) and the points/rewards were garbage. They could be 'trusted' to pay out but that's hardly a ringing endorsement.

One real plus point was BF Games, esp Book of Ming, which could be decent if in the mood.

As I remember when playing there, LVbet had quick withdrawals and a decent selection of games. Energy would tend to process w/d's in 24-36 hours, so not as fast but acceptable certainly. It was a good site for Novomatic games to UK players and yes, aside from the initial 50 or 100 match bonus you got little else in the way of incentives of late.

But as CM said, it isn't all about bonuses and as pinnit says, they are much curtailed generally nowadays - the UK market is so tight and constricted that only the biggest operators (often subsidized by profits from less-expensive markets) can regularly offer what players here consider to be decent incentives. It is what it is.

I often met up with the Energy crew at conferences, Norbert the aff. manager etc. and the faces were pretty much the same over the years which suggests a decent outfit to be part of with good intentions and an air of consistency, which isn't usual I can tell you!

Just for the record I wasn’t rating the casino just on offers, I don’t use deposit bonuses anyway, so sorry if it came across that way.

It was mainly the WD times and 1 free withdraw a week that was one of my biggest gripes, and compared to many other casinos at the time they gave absolutely sod all in the form of loyalty. It wouldnt kill them to give some non wagering free spins occasionally, but none. At the time for me it was a choice of stay there or move most of my play to videoslots, and with battles, booster, free spins and free fast WD daily it was a no brainer to ditch energy, I don’t dispute that they are a good casino in that they are honest and pay out etc but just didn’t fit my level of play and expectations.

But to those of us who are small depositors a bonus helps us prolong our gameplay and get a little bit more fun from our balance. This was how so many casinos sprouted up in the first place during the online casino boom of the early 2010s. As mainly a sports bettor casinos were a fun way to use winnings and get the odd winfall and bonuses made this more regular. Unfortunately that is dead now. The only benefit to the bookies and their casinos you mentioned is that they rarely ask for SOW and this is why they get so many customers. Most are sports gamblers like me but others are also casino players who just want to play with little hassle.
