Just received, another one bites the dust, a decent casino sadly.

Energy Casino is a highly recommended, vetted and Accredited Casino at Casinomeister
Really, am I the only one that is surprised they lasted this long? They were a fairly rubbish casino IMO.

Awful bonuses, many of them highlighted on here, long payout times, bad WD terms, eg one free WD a week etc.

I closed my account ages ago and told them at the time why and that if they didn’t buck up, their casino wouldn’t last, certainly in the UK market.

Of course people will assume it was all UKGC based that they have left but IMO it was more that they were not a great casino in the first place and people have voted with their wallets. No real loss to UK players really.

played there quite a bit over the years, got into a habit of playing every 2 weeks £100 deposit got hit with SOW a few months ago so i stopped playing, not sure if CASUSHI casino has left the uk market also

It's disappointing when a casino is rated solely by its bonus offers. Consideration should also be about how communicative they are, how established they are, and if you have an issue: how quickly they respond to square things away. For those who aren't aware - bonuses are not obligatory. In fact, playing without bonuses only frees up your gaming experience.

That said, the UK market will only consist of the corporate black hole high street casinos in the very near future: Will Hill, Betfred, Grosvenor, Ladbrokes etc., etc., etc., none of which are anywhere near Casinomeister Accredited. They have no reps here, and it's been years since they have had any. Ya know why? I'll tell you why - they could not give a flying rat's ass about you the player. They might act like they do, but they don't. I know for a fact that the folks that work in managerial or admin positions belittle our community. And it's rare to get any assistance from them on ANY player issue. It's "speak to the hand" from them.

But yeah, lots of UK players have no issue with these High Street casinos. So enjoy being marginalised, because that's what is happening to you.

i completely agree with the above comment,we will be just left with them high street casinos in the uk,at the moment we still got SKY VEGAS/32 RED/MR GREEN/POKERSTARS/LEO VEGAS and UNIBET but for how long ?
most of high street casinos are own by some big casinos in Gibraltar or channel islands,

Pretty much the same as above - they went into reverse: very quick withdrawals at one point to 24hrs plus (most casinos went the opposite way) and the points/rewards were garbage. They could be 'trusted' to pay out but that's hardly a ringing endorsement.

One real plus point was BF Games, esp Book of Ming, which could be decent if in the mood.

As for bonus offers: yeah, they're not the be all and end all but (historically backward looking) when there is choice between casino a and casino b, players might be inclined to go with the casino who can stretch the pound a bit further - i certainly used to play at casinos with an extra day or so withdrawal time if they kicked back something, rather than somewhere that paid instantly but offered nothing - pretty moot now, as very few UK casino's offer much in the way, of anything.

Casushi most certainly has not left the market. I only the other day received communication from them to update to their newer logo on my site.

As I remember when playing there, LVbet had quick withdrawals and a decent selection of games. Energy would tend to process w/d's in 24-36 hours, so not as fast but acceptable certainly. It was a good site for Novomatic games to UK players and yes, aside from the initial 50 or 100 match bonus you got little else in the way of incentives of late.

But as CM said, it isn't all about bonuses and as pinnit says, they are much curtailed generally nowadays - the UK market is so tight and constricted that only the biggest operators (often subsidized by profits from less-expensive markets) can regularly offer what players here consider to be decent incentives. It is what it is.

I often met up with the Energy crew at conferences, Norbert the aff. manager etc. and the faces were pretty much the same over the years which suggests a decent outfit to be part of with good intentions and an air of consistency, which isn't usual I can tell you!

It's a shame, but yeah, if you're all about offers and bonuses as a UK player then it will be the corporate operations you choose eventually as they can survive easily compared to the independents like MrQ for example.

The UK market is like a lot of other retail - you see small shops closing down daily, but the corporate supermarkets hoover this trade up and continue to grow. This is effectively the same for online casinos and I think we know the big 6 or 7 names we'll be left with eventually.

I liked, and played there a good bit last year, but they've pretty much given up communication with players - like One Click Group, not even an email to let players know they're still alive, let alone offering games...they went from regular emails (and 25-100% offers) to basically radio silence.

Have they not already left the UK market or did I imagine that?

They are a good casino - I wonder if the lack of e-mails is due to GDPR boox checking?

Just for the record I wasn’t rating the casino just on offers, I don’t use deposit bonuses anyway, so sorry if it came across that way.

It was mainly the WD times and 1 free withdraw a week that was one of my biggest gripes, and compared to many other casinos at the time they gave absolutely sod all in the form of loyalty. It wouldnt kill them to give some non wagering free spins occasionally, but none. At the time for me it was a choice of stay there or move most of my play to videoslots, and with battles, booster, free spins and free fast WD daily it was a no brainer to ditch energy, I don’t dispute that they are a good casino in that they are honest and pay out etc but just didn’t fit my level of play and expectations.

Funny that you mentioned “ Ya know why? I'll tell you why - they could not give a flying rat's ass about you the player. They might act like they do, but they don't.” That’s actually exactly how I felt at the time I left Energycasino.

Anyway just saying, not here to start any wars 😁

But to those of us who are small depositors a bonus helps us prolong our gameplay and get a little bit more fun from our balance. This was how so many casinos sprouted up in the first place during the online casino boom of the early 2010s. As mainly a sports bettor casinos were a fun way to use winnings and get the odd winfall and bonuses made this more regular. Unfortunately that is dead now. The only benefit to the bookies and their casinos you mentioned is that they rarely ask for SOW and this is why they get so many customers. Most are sports gamblers like me but others are also casino players who just want to play with little hassle.
