Email notification of PMs

Haven't been receiving emails to notify me of PMs for the last couple of days. I double checked and I haven't foofed the settings, the box is still checked. Cyn also mentioned the same problem.

Maybe Vortran can work on it once he's limbered up after being packed away for a month...

I do recieve email notifications but for some reason, they end up in the junk folder. It's a conspiracy, I tells ya!

I'm kidding.

Someone send me a PM today and I'll check this afternoon to see if notification shows up in my Hotmail. It's probably a problem on my end (no comments, guys!) with either Hotmail, or beta Live Mail -- or both.

Thanks Bingo for the test PM. I didn't receive any notification. Nothing in my Hotmail Inbox, nor in the Junk folder. I checked Hotmail on the web, Just in case my Windows Live Mail simply wasn't downloading it, but it's just not there.

I'm using gmail and have no problems with notifications, nor them ending up in the trash or spam folder..so it's definitely a hotmail issue. Maybe they're blocking all casino related emails

Just curious, are you receiving the newsletter ok?

Good question, Winbig, and yep I received the Special Announcement thingy Bryan sent out today. And I'd had no problem received PM notices until just a day or two ago....

Nope. Nothing from you, Bryan. And I also checked on the web, so Hotmail must not be letting it come through ?

But I did get the Newsletter today.

I think I know what the prob is: MSN and Hotmail are blocking casinomeister.com emails for some reason (must be for all that spam I send out ). I'm using another email address for the forum. Please check.

The newsletter is sent from another domain - that's good.

Except MSN is blocking emails from this server (I used another email address).

You're going to have to not use a Hotmail or MSN email address here if you want to receive any email notifications.

Changed my email in User CP. That should work until my local provider begins blocking meister mail.

Strange thing to me, Hotmail (and MSN) blocking mails I want and have signed up for, but I still get plenty of those emails for fake Rolexes, drugs, etc., etc. because those crooks keep changing their emails.

Double check the email address form the sender. Are they coming from casinomeister.com or casinomeister.co.uk?

because those crooks keep changing their emails.

More importantly, they're always changing (hacked/misconfigured) email servers to send mail from. This is what MSN/Yahoo/etc checks, not the sender's address
