Do slots pay out depending on the size of the bet?

I have read here, and elsewhere, that the bet size doesn't influence the outcome of a spin.

However, now I am not too sure.

We've all seen the mega screen shots and videos for the Dead or Alive slot (this one:

) as an example pays 6,748 x stake.

You would have thought that if the bet was £18 (the maximum you can stake per spin) the win would have been £121,464

But that is wrong according to Netend: Outdated URL (Invalid)

So is it now not the case that a slot does play different depending on the bet size? Surely the win lines as per the video wouldn't have shown if a £18 bet was shown with the winnings capped at £54,000 because nowhere in the help section of the game does it state the maximum pay out is £54,000

Call me naive, but wouldn't the £54,000 win they're quoting be for a single line win? IE: Max coins played for each line @ Max coin size? I have no way of finding out how much you can bet per line, but I'm sure that 3000 x that amount would equal the £54,000...(£18 per line @ £162/spin)

Probably not associated as such, but I played a video slot (White Knight) in a club with a maximum £500 jackpot. I got the free spins feature up and loads of wilds in first couple of spins, reaching the maximum £500 by the 4th spin out of 10 or 12 granted. At that point the machine stopped the feature and credited me with £500. In theory if it did carry on spinning, I could have got over a grand. Perhaps the same principal where they cap the maximum payable? There are video slots with unlimited spins (one on South Park, also on Casinomeister slot) until certain combinations end it, so obviously they have to enforce a maximum payable.

The max you can bet is £18 per 9 lines so that doesn't quite calculate.

I believe they have a little proviso note by the coin mech saying the maximum which can be won on one credit is £500. Naturally it is intriguing as to how much I could have won if maximum payable wasn't capped at £500 ....... !

I suppose the equivalent to online slots is that they clearly state what the maximum number of coins which can be won per credit.

On this particular slot (DOA) nowhere that I can see is there a cap on the winnings in the pay table or the information sheet when you press the "?" button on the slot
