I don't play much at Grand Hotel but when I downloaded (had to get a new computer, mine crashed and burned right before Christmas) I had $100!! Didn't win anything but it kept me occupied for a few hours! Thanks!

Presents

Just wanted to chime in. When I was a casino operater there were a couple of problems with sending out presents. First off since we were out of the country for our players, when we wanted to send them gifts we had to use a "third party", and we did not always feel safe putting our customer list in a third parties hands. Last year we sent Thanksgiving centerpieces to a number of our customers. 50% of the players who got them were upset for sending stuff to their house. About 25% were upset that the flowers only cost 100.00 and they felt they deserved more, and another 10% said they would rather of had us deposit the money in their casino account, the last 15% we never heard from if they liked it our not. All in all it was not worth sending the gifts out.
For Christmas I gave all of my VIP customers 25% cashback on their losses for the year. This went over very well but it took me 36 hours to review each account and credit it.
So when you wonder why some casinos don't give out gifts , there are some difficult circumstances that players are not always aware of.

That is frigging brilliant though! If someone did that to me, i'd be made up. :D

So it's not just me who doesn't like getting casino stuff mailed to my home. I got a Xmas card from Geisha Lounge even though they'd promised not to send me any postal mail. Just made me irritated. Makes me feel like they don't listen to individuals, I'm just a number in their customer database.

Casinos please, oh please, don't send me flowers:eek:

Wow:notworthy ..any casino operators out there willing to give me 25% cashback please contact me ASAP and you'll have a customer and free PR agent for life!

On the contrary, it's really easy for a casino to give out gifts, here's a tip: No flowers, just a cash bonus in the account, even a small one will do thank you very much:thumbsup:

As I occasionally use bonuses  this is my 2c on this issue..

I agree with all those above who complain about the lack of 'loyalty' bonuses after the initial sign up.
Maybe I am just being a simpleton, but I simply can not understand the difference to the casino in giving a 100% match bonus to new players, and giving the same bonus to existing players each month (like Intercasino).
In fact, giving them to existing players is actually more sensible because once a player has an active account set up their is very little overhead for the casino in managing the account (no checking for fraud, ID, credit card integrity, etc..)

The way most places operate today actively encourages people to jump from place to place & sign up with new casinos every month (and I should know! ;) ). I would much rather have just a handful of casinos I go back to month after month, but while I can get a better deal signing up at a new one than returning to the same place... well it's not really a choice, is it?

32Red & Spin Palace are perfect examples - I go back to these places month after month because they give me a 100% match every time. OK, they are pretty small bonuses in $ terms, but still at least 80% higher than most MG's seem to be offering.
When I look at my log, I see I am actually well in the red with both these places, but I will continue to happily go back to them repeatedly because at least they are offering a decent incentive - and a chance of maybe one day getting into the black... :p

I guess the trick is to become an affiliate and get the 25% back on other people's losses ;)

I wonder if 32Red would have me as an affiliate playing through my own affiliate account ;)

25% is a lot. Is that really what affiliates get? Damn, that must amount to a pretty decent income..

Maybe the ones who missed us all for Xmas will come through on New Year's? HA....well, a girl can hope can't she?

After all said and done, I just realized 1 thing.

I HATE YOU GUYS!!! ... j/k

I didn't get anything at all for a very long time now. I used to play at InterCasino a lot, then I moved on to iNetBet, later to 888.com and then now I'm starting to play at 32Red but I got NOTHING from them at all. Totally NOTHING, ZIP, NIL, NADA.

Nobody gave me anything this Christmas or New Year. :(

The only thing I got from iNetBet is the same thing everyone else gets. $10. So darn frustrating. Hearing all the stories and etc, I'm really really jealous about the FREE money and etc that you guys get.

WHY DO I GET NOTHING??? I want something tooooooooooooo!!!!

I've been so disappointed with these all places this year. Seems they are getting more and more greedy.

Oh well!

Spin Palace (where I play the most) - NADA!!!
Ruby Fortune (2nd most) - NADA!
Piggs Peak - $100.00 :) (where I should play more often, obviously!)

Let's all wish for a better year in 2006!

You should have asked people if they are happy to receive your gift. not everyone wants to advertise that he is involved in online gambling. This year one casino asked me if I would like to receive a Christmas hamper, which I thought was very professional, but unfortunately, Christmas is gone but there is no sign of the hamper.

Those who complained that the flowers were not expensive enough are just whiners.

32Red was the only one that gave me a Xmas present. I've played there consistenly for over a year, so maybe the Casinos want to see long-term loyalty before showering  you with gifts. Maybe because you moved from one casino to another, that's why you didn't get any gifts from any of them. I don't know that this is the case, but it might be that the casinos are looking to reward the long-term loyal players.

Grandmaster highlights an important point here - the attitude of some managements shows little or no regard for what the player really wants...and whether or not he or she wants to receive it at home (or maybe even the office!)

It seems that managers have in many cases not yet learned to consider a proposed initiative from both the business and consumer perspective ie "How will my customers react to this? Is this what they really want? Is that do-able?" I suspect there would be far less hassle if they did.

This thread might prove a useful indicator to casinos as to the sort of gift that players prefer (it looks as if it might be a straightforward, minimum strings attached playing bonus, which is probably easier for the casino to put together anyway.

I agree completely with Jetset and Grandmaster, and I'd wager that >90% of us would just prefer to get a minimum WR free chip in the account. It would be so easy for Casino operators to find out what makes their customers tick - just send an e-mail questionnaire.

I mean really, how many of you actually get positive rather than negative vibes from receiving an Xmas card to your home from an online Casino? Or a bunch of flowers:eek2: ?

How about a poll right here at Casimomeister?

I agree with the just crediting accounts, but having come from a large bonus casino throwing a little more into someones account dosen't really amount to much. What"s the real difference between gambling 1k or 1.5 if you pretty much play it out the same day? That is why we wanted to give a physical gift, so it would be something a player would remember and not just play it without hesitating.

I agree with you guys wholeheartedly....would much prefer even a small token gesture over something delivered to my home. Even a $20 chip with minimal wagering requirements, just something to say that we recognize and appreciate your patronage throughout the year. I feel the same way about my birthday. It doesn't have to be alot, just something. And that is why 32Red has it all over the rest of the casinos that I play at. Accessibility and recognition...not that much to ask for really.

It's a nice idea, I'll give you that:thumbsup: However, the reality of the matter seems to be something else. Gamblers are gamblers, and it's not immediately obvious how a bunch of flowers could be gambled, although I'm sure it can be done:D
