Hi,

I recently (stupidly) deposited on a casino that has a Curacao license and have since tried to make a withdrawal but they keep delaying everything and I'm starting to think I'm not going to receive anything.

I've read a few posts on the forum about companies with Curacao licenses and it basically being illegal for them to accept UK players / deposits? Have I got any grounds to potentially go down the chargeback route? There are quite a lot of conflicting posts on the forum, some from what I gather have been able to get deposits returned by doing this, but nothing concrete?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris

It's got the 365/JAZ license which from what I gather, is one of the better ones?

Just under 3 weeks ago. All the usual docs and I've supplied them all and they've supposedly being verified.

Why do you say not to use charge back?

Could you please tell us what casino it is, then it will be easier to advice you.

If you use charge back you could have your account suspended or blacklisted by online casinos.

Maybe someone else can explain more about charge backs, there was a discussion about it a while ago, I can not find it at the moment.

Chargebacks and my experience.
I done this to thrills, my one and only CB.
After months of emails that where ignored and live chat frankly laughing at me, I didn’t receive what I rightly paid for.
This was however before I even knew about casinomeister and PAB, or even another way to get my money back.
I contacted my bank and basically told them I’d paid for a service/product I didn’t receive, I provided emails and live chat transcripts to back up my statement.
Within about 5/7 days the money I was owed was in my bank again.
Now this so called ‘blacklisting’ I’m dubious about.
As thrills where a MT secure site, some really nice ‘THRILLS’ agent wrongly lied and placed a false self exclusion on my account, this did indeed affect my other accounts at other mt secure trade accounts, such as rizk, betspin, casinopop, shadow bet to name a few.
They all assumed I was a self excluded problem gambler which I wasn’t.
Thankfully captain rizk from (rizk) listened to my side and removed the false flag on my account.
Never had a issue since making a deposit or a withdrawal from any MT secure site.
The so called black listing is a scare tactic should you use a chargeback.
Now I’m not at all saying go the route I went down, but I had exhausted every avenue to resolve my issue with no joy.
Try here with a PAB, try with the casino..
If you genuinely believe you are in the right and the above mentioned don’t work then you are 100% entitled to chargeback.
Your bank will listen and will help you.
Just be warned, in the Wild West of casinoland they may be repercussions in the future.

To me, it does smack of the OP trying to justify a chargeback. I noticed the delays, unwillingness to pay etc. are all his own thoughts and he has not provided any details.

Very concerning over the past few weeks how many of these 'Curacao' threads are appearing on forums from UK players. Clear to see shady affiliates are cashing in.

I'm not trying to justify a chargeback, I'm simply asking for any advice as it's very much a last resort.

I'm not naming the casino until fully convinced I need to take this further.

Well you need to take this further. If they don't have a UKGC license, they should not be taking UK bets. You can either complain to the UKGC yourself, or I can do it as well if I have a casino name etc.

This 100%. Don't know why anyone thinks "there are some good ones" because all of them are accepting funds illegally from UK players, withdrawals provided or not.

There are some decent ones under the 8048 license who won't take unlicensed deposits. It's the ones that do take unlicensed money that ispo facto mean you'll not be paid when it suits them.

Thank you for the responses up to now.

So to begin with, rather than going down the chargeback route or anything like that - should I be contacting the casino and tell them I'd like the deposits to be returned/refunded?

What makes you think they will pay back your deposits if they don't want to pay your winnings?
You still haven't told us anything. Why aren't they paying you? What is the delay about?

The casino is crazyno.com.

'What makes you think they will pay back your deposits if they don't want to pay your winnings?'
Well, given it's still in chargeback territory, I could potentially say I'll be doing that unless they are happy to oblige as I read in another thread it costs the company a lot if chargebacks are done against them?

I've no idea in regards to the other two points.

So they never give any reason for not paying you? That sounds strange. Some are extremely slowpaying though but still pays.
I don't know about this one though. It's an Affpower casino and I would never trust or play on any casino related to them.

I can't advice when it comes to chargeback or about threatening the casino with doing that. I leave that to others.
I hope you get it solved one way or another but please do a better search about the next casino you sign up to.

I've been verified and it's supposedly been approved, yet I've received nothing and it's two weeks since being processed. So whilst I still retain a small bit hope of it reaching my account, I don't want to just continue to wait and end up with nothing.

Worst of all, I realised after playing that it states within the T&C that UK players are prohibited from using the site, so I asked support about this and casinos not being allowed to accept UK deposits, and all I continually got back was that 'UK players are allowed to deposit and you are fine to play here'..

Ok, so it can be some hold up on the way.
You could always do a PAB here and get Maxd to help you out. I don't think they are in the rogue list yet so maybe he can help. No need to charge back anything yet though.

OK Point taken but I would just want to ask on the length of the delays. You mentioned they were unwilling to pay. What did you base these accusations on? Care to elaborate?
