delano casinno

QUOTE All we can do is waiting. I was told they may have an answer by this weekend. Jetset, did you talk with Jon Ramsay?UNQUOTE

Yes and we are still in contact. One of the holdups has apparently been the need to work with the former Delano owners in getting all the t's crossed and the i's dotted before bursting into print (although I personally think that with the right good intentions the former Delano management could have told their players what was going on before they closed) Winward was apparently in a difficult position because they could not start communicating with the players until everything had been sorted out with Delano people.

Ramsay assured me that they would be contacting the players in the very near future, and that all Delano players with legit claims would be looked after. He has been straight up with me as far as I can tell and I have no reason at present to doubt his word.

I still smell a little bit fishy. If you google "delano+winward", you will find the following information:
Winward Casino Group Annouce Opening of Newest Online Casino
SAN JOSE, Costa Rica -- Delano Casino, wholly owned subsidiary of Metagalaxia, S.A. and the Winward Casino Group announced the Grand Opening of its newest casino property
"DelanoCasino.com was developed for the VIP Casino Player," acknowledged Winward Casino Group's president Cristie McCrory, "as we move forward we strive to bring a level of sophistication and style to online gaming." Delano Casino's market is the upscale VIP gambler.

Based on that news, Delano is actually owned by winward. I don't think there is a lot of things to do except transferring player's database from delano to winward if delano is closed.

Too bad I don't know who is lying. You can see my live chat with winward as following:

you: Hi there, is delano merged with winward?
Customer Support: Thank you for contacting our customer support. How may I help you today?
Customer Support: No, right now Delano is having an upgrade. In the meantime if you want to you can play with Winward
you: Did you mean I can use my account and password in delano to log in winward?
Customer Support: No, you will have to open a new account

I know it is frustrating but you just have to give them time. It's a pain in the ass, yes but I talked to a CS rep who told me exactly what was happening and jetset has been in contact with someone who verified this with more detail as was stated in jetset's post.

I think that this sort of confusion is the sort of thing that efficient and timeous communications can obviate, and I have passed that on to the current Winward president, Jon Ramsay.

He has already told us that Winward provided customer service and support to the Delano operators despite their use of different software - I think that Google excerpt is open to interpretation.

The time for pessimism imo will be if there is nothing from Winward, Delano or even RTG by the end of the week.

I think we can all chill on this matter - there has been a lot of speculation here, and sometimes speculation can instill unneeded stress on players as well as the operators. :D

Winward has been around since 1998 and employ 100+ people. They have three offices in Costa Rica and they offer customer service support, telephone support, Internet hosting, banking, and complete turnkey solutions to other companies such as Delano Casino. According to Winward's CEO, Winward Casino has never owned or had ownership rights to Delano Casino.

He wanted me to convey to you that all players from Delano Casino will be paid by the Winward Casino Group.

He has also mentioned that it is taking a few weeks to migrate certain data into Winward. Once the data has been migrated, players will have the ability to gamble or immediately cash out. There will be no cash in/play-through requirements.

Watch this thread for more information :D

Ok lets chill, but ;)

"He wanted me to convey to you that all players from Delano Casino will be paid by the Winward Casino Group."

If they claim that they have only done support and never had ownership of delanocasino, i dont simply understand why would they want to pay for the balances that delano is currently owing to players.

I guess because client acquisition costs are high, and the failure of Delano represents an opportunity for Winward to persuade its players to stay on the Winward books.

That will depend on how efficient and sensitive Winward is to the needs of the players...all the more reason for them to communicate what is going on and reassure everyone that it's all under control.

PS There may also have been business negotiations behind the scenes involved.

Winward is taking over all the player accounts for Delano (and none of the affiliate accounts  ) They are getting a lot of accounts that way, and only some are owed money. It looks like it may be profitable to them in the long run.

Everything is all under control and the players are being slowly migrated. This will take some more time.

I am quite satisfied that all is on target and in good order as far as players are concerned.

From last Friday's Casinomeister News:

Delano demise....another example of how NOT to close down an online casino occurred this week when RTG-powered Delano casino went down without a word of explanation to its players. The url at first routed to RTG, who ignored requests for comment and then had everyone scratching their heads when it re-routed to Winward Casino, a DCEG-Parley powered operation that has been around for some time. Understandably, those players owed money by Delano wanted to know what was happening, and fortunately the president of Winward, Jon Ramsay broke the Delano and RTG silence to tell them. It appears that Delano was provided with customer services and hosting in a commercial deal with Winward. For undisclosed reasons, Delano was unable to continue in business and Winward agreed to look after the owed players, whom it would transfer across to its books - not a bad deal with acquisition costs running at around $500 or head or more these days. Kudos to Winward and nothing at all to RTG and Delano management for their silence. Readers may recall that Delano was one of the casinos involved in the record-win Pirate of the Caribbean dispute last year.

PM me and I will give you Ramsay's email address if you are still owed money and have not heard from them yet.

I received an email from winward today saying my account was closed and that they no longer accept australian customers, the return email address was not at winwardcasino.com but at riverboatcasino.com . On checking out riverboatcasino.com i found an exact clone of winwardcasino. Does anyone know if this already existed or if winward are planning to change their name for unknown reasons? :

Winward Casino Group has just purchased VicsBingo.com and it owns and operates: Bingohall.com and Bingoformoney.com.

They own and operate WinwardCasino.com, and operate but do not own: RiverboatCasino.com

They operate but do not own: SouthBeachbingo.com

Winward owns Sportsbook911.com and its casino. GC Sports Group is an operating partner.

The Delano takeover is progressing, apparently. The head guy has given an assurance that all legitimate Delano claims will be honoured.

It's been quite a while now and still not heard anything from delano or winward. I had a round $ 1500 with delano so I am a little concerned.

has any delano account holder heard anything from delano or winward yet?

Today I received the whole outstanding balance($1700) to my Neteller account. First, about ten days ago, the amount was transferred to my Winward's account which I was told to create by Winward's CS. Winward handles payouts on Mondays and mine was prosessed 20.9. Although they said it would take 48-72 hours it took a week, but nevertheless money is on my account now.
It goes without saying I'm very pleased that Winward took care of Delano's mess. After I found out that Delano had closed I didn't know what to do. I was never read Casinomeister's forum before but fortunately I found this topic here. I also noticed that I should contact Montana Dispute and I did (haven't heart anything from them). My last clue was that Delanos www-address led me to Winward's site. Then I used their live help first time and was quite active using it ever since.
My advice to anyone who still has an outstanding balance with Delano or any other casino is that you have to be as active as possible. You have been screwed once so you got nothing to lose anymore. Every casino has a phone number or perhaps a live help so use them instead of e-mail. With Winward this was very easy; they have a great customer service. I can remember atleast two very funny & informative chat sessions. From here a big hand to Winward
