So i was playing TDKR yesterday and rammed the Freespins counter up to 50 X3 but it diddent trigger.

So today i made another deposite chasing the freespins. And when i load the game and hit spin i get "Error 2" Ive tried 3 browsers, logging in and out, nothing helps.. Curiously all other MG slots work. Its just the one i happen to have a high amount of freespins waiting on me that dont work...

I tried contacting support but there is no live chat on this casino so i am still waiting the responce.

Also it seams its been taking money from my balance for unfinished spins....

It was casinoluck.. Yeah i couldent understand it either.. Because all other Microgaming slots i tried worked fine. If it was a NetEnt only bonus i would understand.

It would be helpful to issue something other than "casino error 2" where it's a game blocked from play with bonus money. How about "This game may only be played with your cash balance, not bonus credits" popping up instead of "casino error 2".

WHY this game is banned from play with bonus money is a question for the casino. Usually, it's MGS progressives only that some casinos ban from bonus money play, but other casinos also ban "branded" games from play with a bonus, although this is not something I have heard of with Microgaming, but it could be a case of a multi software platform implementing an across the board "no branded/premium slots with a bonus" restriction. Damn good job it's software enforced, as it isn't the type of slot a player would expect to be a banned game for bonus play, leaving them open to confiscation of winnings.

Yeah but it dossent say that progressives are banned from the bonus. I was able to play Mega fortune and Hall Of Gods. Usually every NetEnt slot is avalible to play with bonus money. But just yesterday the changed to multiplatform adding slots form alot of other vendors.

I played Playboy and that was no problem, so why ban this particular slot?

Anyhow as i said i got 50 freespins with 3 x multiplier. I never seen it go that high, what would be an expected return on these?

They have added this term to the SUB, but not the general terms.

6. A few games are not playable with bonus funds. A customer will not be technically able to play these slot machines with bonus funds at all: Scrooge, Devils Delight, Champion of the Track, Robin Hood and The Dark Knight Rises.

I wonder what "technical" issue there is for this small list of games from a number of providers, and why this term is not listed under the general terms.

They either have a technical issue, or they have gone to considerable trouble to actually implement a software block, rather than using the terms and conditions and/or weighting. There are also small groups of slots on a 50% weighting.

There is no technical issue at all playing Dark Knight Rises with bonus money in a Viper environment, nor have I seen any term excluding this game from play (yet).

Maybe they are just "running scared" of this Dark knight rises game due to what happened shortly after launch, and the lengthy yet largely unresolved debate about what EXACTLY went on, and whether the game is now truly risk free from an operators' perspective (not that merely blocking play with bonus money would have helped initially).

It just means that if you are playing any of the games listed above on a Quickfire platform, and are suddenly encountering "casino error 2", it's worth checking whether you have just reached the bonus money, as this would seem to be a likely cause, and so just switch to a game not listed above, rather than waste effort trying to get a straight answer out of CS.

I got 48 spins x 4 multiplier at metroplay and chose batman with firing wilds feature, my return on 90p bet x 4 over 48 spins was something like 30 pounds so dont get your hopes too high as free spin feature can throw a lot of empties

Geez, been playing this game at redbet at 90cents per bet, I've already spent 150€ and no freespins, 5 of a kind won't even pay out 10x the bet..
starting to have demon thoughts about this game.

update:
250€ and nothing.. still on 43 freespins x2

2nd update after 300€ and still on 43 freespins x2

I'm done with this game..

Got to a 3x spin again so I tried and up my bet from 30c to 90c just to see how it pays. Well after looking at it it does take the average bet into consideration and I did notice that I got on one 2 scatter win a 90 cent bet should of paid $2.70 but it paid about $1.53 so I know that it was what my average bet would of been.

You can see the thought process behind blocking those games though.
All of those games have 'collectable' bonuses of sorts, i.e each spin can contribute to a bonus pot which is triggered later in the game.
Scrooge is banned at lots of places due to that of course, the others less so.

This isn't unusual for the Netent-based multi-software casinos which offer IGT and Quickfire MG as well as Netent. I have a CASINOROOM account and I was puzzled why I couldn't play anything but Netent when I wanted to play Cleopatra and TSII. I eventually worked out that bonus funds could only be spent on Netent slots. Good casino but they really should have a pop-up when you take a bonus informing you of such a fact, or a sticky banner on their site or maybe a star * by games that CAN be played when you have bonus.
Why some Netent/multi software sites do this, and some (like Guts) don't is beyond me.
I can fully understand as Andy says why some games with accumulative features are prohibited. Basically it prevents the old trick of using bonus to trigger free spins then leaving the slot until later when playing with your own cash-only unrestricted balance. Effectively TDK would be the opposite to that trick whereby you play it and DON'T want the free spins, but get it to a point where you know the spins/multiplier will pay a good whack, then leave it until playing cash.
No conspiracy here VWM, just common-sense on behalf of the casino.

Maybe, but they are extending this further and further. With Scrooge, you could closely manage the collection so that you could be pretty certain of triggering the feature in short order upon return by quitting at day 24. For this slot, there is no obvious quit point, and whatever you choose, you can have no assurance that you will actually trigger the bonus round in short order. What next, banning Munchkins because players play till they have had a long spell without a free spin round, and then returning next day, not claiming a bonus, and betting really high because the "law of averages" means that the 600+ spins without a bonus round will balance out with more bonus hits than usual over the next 600 spins at a higher bet.

I have noticed that whilst Scrooge has been widely banned, Wealth Spa has not, yet it is a similar principle in that you can store up to 4 coins untriggered at all times, as even if you inadvertently get the 5th before you have set things up by zeroing out and making a fresh deposit, you can knock it back to 4 by taking the smoothie bonus and hanging on to the other 4 till later.

With the Dark knight, there is no way to knowingly accumulate until a set target has been reached as the bonus could trigger at any time during the process, so no real way to take it at a moment of the players' choosing as is particularly the case with Wealth Spa.

Tomb Raider II is similar, quit with 4 passports and play for the last one later, yet no casino has seen fit to ban this game with a bonus, yet the unpredictability of the final passport is similar to the unpredictability of triggering the Dark Knight bonus after a set target has been reached.

There are many slots that are more "dangerous" in this respect than the Dark Knight, yet it's only Scrooge and the Dark Knight that has casinos worried enough to ban them for bonuses.

I suspect that the ban on the Dark Knight has more to do with the fear factor surrounding the earlier controversy of how this game operates rather than an assessment of it's vulnerability compared to other slots of a similar nature such as Tomb Raider II and Wealth Spa.

Well I tested TDK returns last night on a fun deposit of 400 pounds and 1.50 a spin, leaving it on autoplay. Over 2500 spins later, I still had over 300 left, it seemed the RTP was very high and I had no really big reel hits, and a freespins round that paid 180x was the largest. I know this is a single small test, but I got the impression that this slot would be a great way to churn out a WR.....

I think this is very logical, well argued statement Andy and dunover.

Also, consider this:

Assuming that operators do get a fee discount on bonus money, which may or may not be true.

Operators pay a fee to the game provider based on win. If you use the same provider for your backoffice and games, the provider will know what is bonus money and what is a real cash. If you have a separate backoffice, there is no way for the game provider to tell what is what, and thus will not take bonus money into account before invoicing. This will then make sense that on a NetEnt platform, bonuses may only be played on NetEnt games.

I played Dark Knight Rises for more than 6hours yesterday , No Big Win. I played on 32 red, took more than 3 hours before i could get the Free Spins, 24 x 2 or 34 x 1 .;) Took alot of time to unlock the stages, It was worth the time played though, cus i had fun playing it, and money didn't quickly go up in flames , it all went well with my vodka , Just no Big win

I have noticed on 32red that this week the bonus round to take quite a bit to get. for this game we do have two other types of bonus rounds one beeing the reshuffle and the expanding wild they seem to be alot easier to get usually about 1 in every 30 spins for me over the last 2 sessions but the bonus spins I think I get them about one in every 200 spins.

Anyone here go by the supersition that the end of the month the machines are tigher to make sure they make their cut for the month?

No. Not any more than I think they loosen them for Xmas because the spirit of giving is in the air

Well I've just had the most horrific session on this. 964 spins to trigger the feature, playing £1.50 spins, total deposits £800. Free spins were at 54 x 4 on Batman, when they finally triggered I had batgirl or whoever she is as wild. Total win was £161.90 (108x) - absolutely disgusted with it.

Nearly 1000 spins to trigger a feature - what the hell?? Up to that point my biggest win was £30 (20x stake) - in 964 spins that's shameful. And that only came in once, next biggest was £25. Regularly went over 150/200 spins with no fight sequence also. The shifting reels rarely gave more than 2x stake, all in all I wouldn't touch this again with a bargepole.
