Customer protection issue with Paddy Power

Hello everyone.

I have been gambling for the past couple of months on Paddy Power (as i though that this is the best casino out of of the ones i have tried) and they ended up setting a budget limit of 500 pounds on my account and they asked if i can get in touch with them to have a chat. Although they did mention that a budget is set, i was able to set my own budget of 1000 pounds through the self limit page and i was even able to change it a couple of times (as i was reaching that limit, ending up with a self limit of 6x the amount 'set' by Paddy Power). Even up to this date, i am still receiving the same message from them but no actual limits have been set by them.
I reached the point of wanting to stop gambling as i feel it is getting out of control and it ruins my well being but i also feel that i was let down by the casino as they actually didn't protect me from gambling so, before filling a complain about it, i wanted to ask if this is something valid or it is just in my head?

Thank you very much for taking the time to read my post and wish you all the best luck!

Assuming you're in the UK - I have it on good authority from the "Fresh Prince of Bet-Fair" (Peter Webb) that this £500 limit has been introduced to customers under 25, however it can be alleviated by providing documents to adjust the limit. Either you're misleading with your post and did provide said documents or there has been a fuck up from their side.
If you want to stop gambling - try gamstop etc.. easier than banning yourself individually from each site

This is discrimination against the low, both younger people who are being targeted and older people who are not getting the same level of safety controls.
I’m not sure about that Andrew!

You want an honest opinion? No, the casino never let you down. You let yourself down.

Casino needs to protect you from gambling? IT'S A FUCKING CASINO. The clue is in the name.

Fucking gen z. Hey, the bar didn't protect me from drinking alcohol. I'll sue.

looks like they got all together now
