Hi guys, just a quick one for you to give me a bit of feedback.
Played on Videoslots and deposited with my brothers CC to the sum of £800 with his permission of course. Apparently this is not allowed and Videoslots have closed my account because of this. So my question is are the deposits valid? As I am sure if I hit a big win it would not have been paid out. They asked for verification from my brother for the cards and a written letter saying he gave his approval so all seemed ok then a email saying my account was closed because of this. Whate do you think? My brother had used Gamstop to exclude himself maybe 2 months ago and was not playing on the site along side me at the time.

No your not in your rights to get deposits back not sure why you would even ask or think that......If you havent played or lost the £800 then of course videoslots will refund them back to the card.

Under the UK rules, the casino may well have to refund the deposits as the permission was invalid having come from a self excluded player. They do themselves no favours by sending out mixed messages by first saying it's OK to use a brother's card provided they can produce a signed letter of authorisation. Why would a player want to use someone else's card rather than their own? One obvious reason that occurs to me is "because they have no money of their own to gamble at the moment", which is surely an RG issue, and as such the casino should not be allowing it. Ideally, they should have systems in place that check the name of the cardholder against the name registered on the casino account and block deposits if they don't match and ask the player for an explanation. This would avoid situations like this from developing.

Did Videoslots ask for the letter before or after you made the deposits, ie did you ask them before using someone elses card?
Must say though, this isn't the first time I've seen Videoslots seemingly say one thing then do another recently.

It is not allow, but you can to do this
If nobody now ;)
So you can windrow the money with approve from your brother, but you shouldn't talk this for everybody
everything on your risk
No he can not withdraw the money because the account is his name and the card in another name, so he wouldnt be able to keep this a secret from the casino

before i knew much about online casinos i used my cousins credit card about 3 years ago on my royal vegas account
i had the biggest win of my life on thunderstruck 2 and i was never able to cash out any of it
i haven't come close to the winnings since and i have been playing slots pretty much every other week
i think the only times you hit it big is when you aren't able to withdraw or it was just dumb luck?

Purely dumb luck!

Asked for the letter after.

Not at all..don't mind what you think as it's a forum. However I'm saying it not the case so take my word for it or don't. Your type always look at a negative.
No, I wouldn't say so. What this forum and these types have witnessed many a time is just another cock & bull story in the hope of getting their losses returned to them.
I don't see how you could believe any casino would entertain this idea, when past the point of stating you used someone else's credit any shred of credibility would have flown out of the window. If you can't see the problem with that, then the issue lies with you.

Coupled with your self- admitted Gamstop SE, the story isn't exactly painting a convincing picture
As said before believe what you want, my beef with casino was the fact they closed my account after getting all the verification they asked for. I've played online for years been ripped off by many and have a good time at many. Law unto themselves and a lot of people on this site kiss their buts for scraps. So believe what you want no problem.

So you think your brother's SE (not yours, as I stated) wouldn't raise any flags if he's seen to be gambling through you?

And you were ok with this also? Ask yourself why VS did what they did
