Lovely thanks guys

Sorry if you think we are judging you or that we are not willing to help.

We actually help wherever we can. However, we also have many people signing up at CM and posting stories that are not always true.

In your case, you cited first only Crazyno and then post an email to VegasWild where you mentioned Ridika. Plus, you then posted that Crazyno was your second site after 14 Red.

You have a legal background, yet sent emails with such obvious mistakes and then omitted part of your story at the beginning.

Naturally, we start having doubts and stories/events like yours then mostly evolve as the thread gets longer.

I disagree. It isn't up to the banks to decide if a merchants T&C's are fair or not. It would require a ruling to that effect, either from a court or maybe a regulatory body, to be able to go down that route. If it didn't it would open up a massive can of worms, someone working in the chargeback department of Barclays (for example) is highly unlikely to be legally qualified to state if something is an unfair term. Even if they were legally qualified, they wouldn't without a ruling.
Why would you need to be legally qualified to agree the chargeback? You think its all formally done with set black and white guidelines? Its really not - its a grey area with human beings in that department making commercial decisions based on evidence provided on a case by case basis.

This case does have clear evidence that the transaction was illegal with the lack of a UKGC licence - hence chargeback is doable if its pushed.

because you were saying they could chargeback under the unfair terms part. They can't, no card company can decide what constitutes unfair terms, otherwise it would be a nightmare for any company accepting credit cards.

Hmm possible loophole on that one being if it's made overtly clear that the transaction is illegal, even from the players point. Have to push the claim with the bank as far as possible, get UKGC backup on it, they have written plenty of articles.

Look who is promoting this shower. Note the "Not on GAMSTOP" SEO part

*snip*

Have to rethink if OP is maybe on GAMSTOP although he said he isn't.
Removed link to the scum affiliate site - as with your subsequent post, an image will suffice!

Live links from this site will only help the SEO of the scum.

Cheers!

If I'm looking for a new place to play I'll do two things:

#1 Look to see if it's a recommended casino on this site
#2 Check it has a UKGC license

If it fails on either of these points, I'm out!

They can and they do. Thats the risk they take and is factored in with their costings - (1-2% of turnover).

Chargebacks to gaming companies (at least for some big ones i happen to know some stats) have decreased quite a lot compared to what they were like 5 years ago.

It was little time kind of easy way out for players who lost their money and then made up some cool stories about unauthorized use of card/account or what so ever, that caused that quite big number of these chargeback requests were found to be bit fraudulent. Casinos of course give their side of story when these are dealt and it quite often came to attention that so called unauthorized use (stolen card, child in family as user and what every great excuses were made) were in very strong grounds.

When some unauthorized person is having access to your card details, opening account with exact correct personal details, have access to your email (which you have registered years ago to some places as your personal email), have access to pass 3DS at deposit stage etc... then end result for such a chargeback was just waste of time and money for the bank.

Not saying that chargebacks shouldn't be done when ever somebody feels it's right, but they are not always some magic which sorts all the problems and they are not guaranteed to be successful, sometimes can leave negative trace to your history if have claimed chargeback which ended up to be not justified to be right.
