The webmaster of internetpokerworld.com thinks it is fun and easy to rip off my content. Notice the opening paragraph on his site and then compare it to mine. He has added the word sportsbook to a few sentences.

Well I have contacted the webmaster and also outed this thief on CAP. Also the webmaster of Internet Poker World should be proud to become the first webmaster that I have blacklisted on Online Casino Reviewer as a direct result of his plagarism.

If a poker information site cannot be bothered to write their own content, what hope is there for it's visitors that it has actually studied the sites it promotes?

It is refreshing to see 888 taking a webmaster friendly stance in this.

I wish I could say the same for Golden Palace, whose scraper sites are polluting the search engines like nothing ever before.

Hey Dom,

Are there specific complaints from webmasters that are having their content "scraped" by GP "affiliates"? If so, feel free to send them my way.

Good going on 888.com taking care of this a-hole webmaster. This is normally the most effective way of handling theft - contacting the affiliate managers, 9 out of 10 times they'll cancel the affiliate's account.

The dickweed at 2playfair.com finally took down his offending text. Stupid twit.

Wow, take a look at these!!

Now checking out the Wayback Machine, bonusrating.com goes back to March 2003 with the current look from about a year ago.

gambling800.com hasn't been registered in the wayback machine yet, perhaps this is why:

Creation date: 22 May 2005 08:47:17
Expiration date: 22 May 2006 08:47:17

Now, I'm not here to fight other people's battles (unless they want me to) but I have a problem with this - gambling800 is a member of this forum, and I'd like to hear what he has to say about this.

But then, he may have permission to use another webmaster's work - if so, I'll back off.

I'm not sure if I should have posted this in my original thread or here but I am happy to report what the result was of 3 months of someone trying to copy my site. Go to pokerincentivesreview.com (I dont want to hot link it so he cant find this post). He launched July 1st and out of the 30 or so affiliates he emailed on my site only 1 answered him and I think they withdrew since the site ........ well check it out for yourself. My favorite line is "This is where the affiliate sites would be listed. Their info would be displayed in tables. I can explain this format once we have at least 1 advertiser for this section." under directory.

He did however steal several lines off my site's FAQ and my rate structure. His site has many factual errors in it, one where he tried to reword one of my FAQ's and his info is wrong. CLASSIC!

I have also not stumbled upon any ads for him and not even any spam. Quite the launch.

Obvious him copying many of my site's ideas and text is enough to not let it get out of control although most of my advertisers have told me they will never pay this guy a dime as it is obvious his months of effort have been wasted.

I check the SE regularly for rip-offs of my site.

I find new ones all the time.

The most blatant came today, when I found www.bonusforfree.com had the homepage text from my site copied word-for-word, changing only the website name and webmaster email link - on almost every freaking page of his site!!

I HAVE emailed the webmaster and a couple of the most prominent casino affiliate programs on the site.

I am sick to death of being copied and losing search engine placement as a result.

I already had edited the homepage because www.winincasino.com had copied it verbatim (and it's still there), and now there are copies of the edited text popping up. I notified Casino Rewards of this, I do not know if this webmaster has his account with them still, but the banners are still up. This particular site is hosted in Russian, so no luck asking for help through them.

I have a list longer than your arm of sites who have duplicated my content. I also had the site hijacked in google - to the point where I went from great, steady and growing traffic to ZIP.

It's very discouraging and a huge drain of time to have to keep looking for these crooks.

I am going to give a talk on black hat SEO in Vegas in September.

I would like to receive all complaints, screenshots and explanations I can.

Bryan, I think Bonusrating is a CAP member. I should post and send her/him here. Re. GP: who isn't used in their spam campaigns? If you have any decent serps, you are likely in their scraper sites. There are thousands of them.

vd752 (bonusrating) is a member here as well.

This GP thing. Has anyone complained to GP about this?

Has my site has grown in popularity it has also attracted a few content stealers, this past month ive had 4 sites steal something one stole my entire website and layout. Luckily with the help of there webhosts and the affiliate programs the sites were shutdown or content removed very quickly

Sorry Bryan,
May you remove the direct link to gambling800?
(or add an x to url)

Thanks,
vd752

Out of interest has there been any response from the casinos that gambling800 is promoting?

I know that at least one casino affliate group is aware of gambling800.com ripping off bonusrating.com's content, as I mentioned this thread to one of the aff managers there - they were trying to get hold of Gambling800 apparently and were already aware of what gambling800 had been up to.

So do we know if the casino programs being promoted by gambling800 have shutdown gambling800's aff accounts? As he is still happily promoting several casinos.

I have however noticed he has changed his logo in the meantime though.
