OK, not sure if it's a good idea posting this or not....

I am not ashamed to admit that I visit this site daily...sometimes more! It is a ritual that just has to be done! In my opinion, it is THE font of all knowledge when it comes to anything on-line casino wise. :notworthy

Within the forum, as with any forum I guess, it is clear that there are some serious idiots who mask their inadequacies by spinning yarn after yarn e.g. Poster x is $5m up on the year (and for the 5th consecutive year) because of his / her system playing Thunderstruck. Or perhaps poster x that receives $1000's of comps from a particular casino which we know not to be true. I exaggerate slightly but you get the point. One has to separate this from the true genius posters - those that we respect and love and what, for me, makes the forum what it is.

So what?

Well, I guess I have a number of questions which I think would be interesting to have honest answers / opinions on. Perhaps because they will enable some of us to compare our 'habits' to others out there in gambling cyberspace. Here's the first of them...hopefully it won't be too painful. Feel free to expand over and above the poll in the thread if you want to!

Me too - spot on!

I voted 2-4 hours. I Gamble (or Play, or Work ;)) online at least 1 hour every single day, but up to 5-6 hours some days so 2-4 is about my daily average every week.
Of course, I have to do this as it is essential research for my websites...!

Honestly........depends on how many freebies I find :D....I'm in the US, so I can't deposit:D

I also have a rusty bridge for sale:cool:

Where's the option for the folks that only gamble a couple times a week ?? :what:

This survey is bias toward these compulsive gamblers that I hear so much about on here...

I thought I had that covered....

....with the option :

"Literally a few minutes here and there, if at all". I guess a couple of short visits a week would amount to that...whereas a 7 hour session once a week would equate to 1 hour a day...that was the theory anyway.

Wasn't meant to be directed in one way or another....

I didn't add the 24 hour option...in fact, I wonder what the world record is for on-line gaming....wonder if anyone has played 24+ hours straight? Guess with a more comfortable chair than your typical land-based casino, the ability to go to the bathroom without someone stealing your slot, it could be possible....

Waiting for Nash to answer that.............

My answer isnt up there either. It depends if Im winning or not. I could deposit and be done in 10 minutes or I could hit and hit and last hours.

I deposit anywhere from $10-$30 average a day. Somedays I wont deposit , some days I deposit $10, other days $20

I also spend a few hours playing the free tournies at 3 dice

Who the heck answered that they gamble 10+ hours a day...:eek2::rolleyes:

Who ever it is needs to call this number right now...

I picked the gambling problem = but not my biggest problem

I spend a lot of time with gambling, both online and off, but I play a lot of guest mode. Requires less thought than cribbage or freecell, but a lot of the online gambling is not spent gambling. Online gambling requires some research, and Meister and Meister members are awesome. It is lovely weather here in beautiful south-eastern Ontario, and the cash coupons for Casino Rama(see post under North American Land based casinos) that expire on Sunday will go to waste, because I cannot take a whole day off to bustrip up there. So Intercasino has 70 bucks from me, got my 70 sticky bonus, and have the whole evening (I hope) to lose the other seventy. I only got 9% of my playthru (reasonable at 18x) out of fifty percent of my bankroll.

I'd guess there is a couple of hours a day, maybe 20 weekly, spent on gambling, research gambling or on a bus to gambling. Wanna add in the time visiting three different groceries stores to have some $$$ to play with?

Like I said, gambling is not my biggest problem, but is is one of several, and maybe not the most harmful for me of them.

In my teenage days, I played mahjong for more than 24 hours straight on several occasions. On one occasion, I played at a land-based casino for more than 48 hours with my friend and the only breaks we had were for meals. That was more than 20 years ago and I cant last for more than 3 hours now even at my favorite games. Hopefully, none of you guys will break that record.

Really???.....Not a problem in a BandM taking my hourly breaks!;):p;)

You get that excited when playing? :D

Tips for extra long sessions - During every trip to the bathroom, be sure to throw a lot of cold water on your face and clean up real good. It works wonders.

I used to pull 14 hour shifts at a riverboard casino in

(wayyyy before it was Harrah's) at least 2 days a week. The only reason these sessions weren't longer was because back then they closed at 2am during the week and 5am on weekends. This was actually when they still sailed, and you had to *gasp* purchase a ticket to get on board and could only board during certain 30 minute intervals.

I still haven't gotten over how many tables they keep open in Vegas casinos at all hours of the night. I prefer heads up play, and never had a shortage of tables to choose from where I could be by myself. Maybe one day I'll join the ranks of high roller and have my very own reserved table...lol

28 hours straight 10 years ago. After that I swore never again. an hour here and there is all the time i can afford to spare nowadays. I do miss the comps though. Come to think of it the dealers back then are pit bosses now so maybe time to give them a visit again.

I gamble mostly on the weekend - So my answer would be maybe 1 - 5 hours a week not a day.:)

OK...

....slightly off topic to my own post...but how about the most slot spins without hitting a feature? My record was the other day on the new Break Da Bank slot. It almost broke me at 1,016 spins before the feature - the highest ever for me. Thunderstruck is way down the list at 945 and in the same session, Spring Break at 810....

Of course more often than not, I hit the feature within the first 20 spins, get half a dozen re-triggers and walk away absolutely loaded...eerr....NOT!

Did you not think just for a teeny weeny second, even say after about the 500th spin that the slot is actually, erm - cold? Yet you still decide to feed the slot like it was going out of fashion?

Oh dear.

I agree- In my experience when I have went ( not near 500 spins) awhile with no bonus I will switch games. I guess it might also be because my bank roll is not nearly large enough to do the statistics :D

Well....

...not really! I don't subscribe to the hot or cold theory. In the case of the 1000+ spins, the featured came in again 4 times within the next 125 spins. Brings the average down considerably. I suppose I believe in the fact that the features are allocated randomnly and as such, switching machines is academic!

Here's the funny part.... if you believe or agree with this statement, then you don't believe slots are random. :D Since every spin is supposedly individual, random, and unrelated to the previous or next spin, why would any past outcome (500 spins without a bonus, for example) having anything to do with the next spin. unless.... maybe we subconsciously know something we don't want to think about? ;)

Did I state that I believe that slots were totally random? :p

What evidence do you have that each spin is unrelated to the previous spin and if this is the case, have you ever had 2 or 3 jackpot wins one spin after another? I highly doubt it.

FWIW, in my little world if a slot is not behaving himself or playing colder than a February morning on the Yorkshire Moors, I steer well clear. In fact I run a mile. :D

In my humble opinion.....

:D

...your analogy doesen't make sense. If slots are entirely random (which I generally believe they are), the chances of winning 2-3 jackpots on the spin would be possible but highlighly unlikely. If the chance of the jackpot is say 10,000 - 1, winning 3 on the trot would be billions to one. Therefore, your comment actually backs up the fact that the slots ARE random rather than not! If you did win them back to back (such as you can with the AWP slots), it would be proof (on the grounds of probability) that they are NOT random.

In all my years of gambling online, I have never experience a 'hot' machine. A run of good luck, but not 'hot' or 'cold'. You will see from my post that after the 1000th odd spin, the feature then hit fairly quickly in succession. Add them all together and you are starting to get nearer the odds of hitting the feature in the first place.

I know nothing of course.

Controversial

By now everyone should know all the on line casino's are no more than robbers. There have been so many complaints of people not being able to collect there winnings or there account gets closed for whatever reason out of the blue. And there is nothing anyone can do about it legally because they are not regulated and basically can do any thing they want. And until there becomes a way to stop this people will continue to be robbed everyday. If everyone would just stop playing and depositing there money where would they be than. All we are doing now is helping them get rich off our money. They all say they have such good payouts but yet when you play anyone of them it is a rare thing to get a good hit and if you do they will find a way to get it back or freeze your account or whatever.Personally I am going back to brick and morter casinos you have a better chance of winning and you know you will be paid without having to wait.Do men or do women gamble more ? that is one question that should be on the poll also

ask vinylweatherman how to force five rams on tstruck
