Heyas,
This site and its associated player and industry forums are, as I'm sure we're all aware, a valuable resource for new and experienced players alike, and a useful fallback for players seeking redress.
However I feel that there is the constant danger that the fringe industry members on these forums are colouring discussion without being up-front to all concerned about their affiliations.
Casino representatives are made known by their different titles and title format, but affiliates merely appear as members of differing seniority.
Likewise, content suppliers and other industry associates such as myself, are similarly anonymous.
This presents a significant avenue for deception and manipulation, if only by omission or selective posting or response.
Players that are unfamiliar with the associations of various posters may think them impartial when they are anything but, and money is a powerful motivator to be less than neutral.
Members should be required to disclose such association or affiliation.
Albeit this requires honest disclosure by members, but I feel many would comply.
I suggest that a field be added to the title section, or signature, to indicate financial associations such as those that draw affiliate income, revenue for services and so forth, and who that association is with.
e.g.: Content supplier to RTG, or MG and Rival affiliate
All members can therefore take comments from posters with appropriate knowledge of possible bias.
Woooof
