surges. as i said before on the deal the winning hand will give out a surge, this is usually shown by the connection bar showing, if you see the bar you will win the hand. but we have good internet so we dont usually see it. but in eastern european countries they have not so good internet so they see it more. so look on the big tourneys like say the hubble and see who has the big stacks, yes always eastern europeans ,or other countries with bad internet connection like Portugal and for some reason Holland. so check it out .see ya

can you explain it in more detail like are you suggesting that its not a pure random deal do you think it might be a more collusive population, like skype or telephone cheats

i think that security is a huge issue when these lofty tourney prizes are awarded ,

have you informed stars of your first hand knowledge ?

    concerning p stars surges

im not saying they are cheating, only that the winning hand gives a surge, probably happens to every body, but only shows on low connections. i seen it when i played poker at my sisters house, she has seven kids so theres may be 5 or6 puters on and the connection is poor hence the internet connection bar shows for a second or so, then i knew i would win, and i did win every time it showed.so check it out yourself.bye bye

Sounds like a sore loser to me.

I don't see the point in a poker room cheating like this....they make the same money regardless.

I still dont understand your point. Are you complaining that the people with slow internet connections cause you to see fewer hand per hour because of their lag? Or are you implying that a weak connection enables them to have an edge or see winning hands? If its the latter then that is an absurd statement.

    eventually feltable

I have not come across this phenom, but that may explain why the Bolsheviks play so many hands. I was told by casino operators here in Canada that they usually play with several in contact by cell phone. If you are patient, you will felt them. Anything can be done to you if you trust gambling by computer. Don't expect too much. And Limit your financial exposure.

You are saying that if I take my laptop to the garden, as far as possible from my wi-fi router,
just to get a so-so signal, I can see a winning hand being delt?

    Hard to believe.
Why don`t you buy USB mobile broadband from a network that has the poorest coverage in your area
    and make a fortune?

And BTW, the "eastern europeans and other countries with bad connection" comments are just rubbish
    and arrogant.

    maybe a glitch

If I interpreted the posters point correctly, I think he is saying
there may be a glitch. Every hand he won, he would see a spike
in his connectivity when the cards were dealt? If true then
people at PS need to investigate this.

Thanks for the post! I also thought the OP was perfectly clear. He never said PS was cheating or that ANYONE could see a winning hand.

Where were you when Full Tilt Poker, Ultimate Bet and Absolute Poker had their poker scandals?

There are rogue casinos that did have a poker room too.

The payouts are different, to appease the wealthy gamblers over the poorer ones. You can see this in SCOOP events and in other bigger tournaments. In those tournaments, the top 10% normally doubles their money. This is not the case in most lower events.

it sounds to me that the op is saying that winning hands come in through the wire with more ohms or what ever drives them [ similar to the commercials on cable telavision there the sound goes up and that's a no-no by the FCA]

how ever if this was true you would need the phantom signal on delivery of the hole cards for it to be any value [so as I asked before can we get a camera video of this in progress ]

Many Eastern Europeans can´t afford to lose much money, so they have to win, otherwise they could not afford to play. Also they do not have so big choices for a well paid job, so they are more likely to become pro poker player. Many could not get a working Visa for a rich country or don´t want to leave their home country, also their poker income has a much bigger purchasing power in their home country. I have been to Eastern Europe a couple of times during the last 10 years(to be exact, I was living their most of time(but never in Russia, I say that because of a comment in another thread) and the quality of internet connection was already awesome everywhere I was. Even 9 years ago it was good enough to win a lot of money for me when I was in Ukraine. years ago the quality, reliability and speed was awesome. There is no real difference to the quality in Germany, at least I can´t notice one.

For what it's worth, I have played on Pokerstars for 12 years, tons and tons of hours. I have had a lot of bad connections and surges constantly, there is no correlation between surges and winning poker hands. I have tried to find a pattern but there is none that I could see.Try going all in on a surge and see what happens.
