    ok guys im new 2 this site so if i make a mistake plz excuse me,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, playing at the genting casino in glasgow also known as the mint casino, won the tourny and as it was a jackpot game i got 2 draw my name out the hat, well i did pick my name out and the jackpot was £5000 , but no sooner i was called back and told that the draw was wrong as they made a mistake and put my name in twice which was their mistake and not mine , i done the draw the way they asked me 2 and drew my name in the 2nd pick out of the 3 picks i had, and they refused 2 pay me even though they admit 2 making the mistake, can anyone tell me wot wrights do i have here and if i was write 2 claim my prize,,,,, ty 4 any help from you guys

    im not sure wot other place u could go 2,,,, maybe consumer wrights? U r in the UK so should be something like that 4 u to put in a complaint

    If you insisted on payment and threatened legal action you may have been paid immediately.This occurs in Australia.If you leave and think about it they dont pay.I dont know how it works in Scotland.My mate works at casino here and they pay if player is persistent.

    Complain to the UK Gambling Commission. Also, your local Trading Standards may be able to help.

    They seem to be using "malfunction voids play" having discovered the mistake. However as THEIR mistake, you might be able to claim compensation for distress caused by them first awarding you the prize In PUBLIC, and then taking it back. You could also see if the press are interested in running the story.

    £5000 isn't much for a big casino operator, and a relatively small combustion beneath their derriere may be all it takes for the GM to have another think;)
