My youngest daughter has started a fund raiser for single moms in Kenya. This is a pair of Kenyan ladies who fund young girls in order to finish their education so that they can achieve gainful employment. The pandemic has made their situation even worse than before. And so far a good response, except for two trolls. One saying I should ask Obama for help since he was born there. Another from a member saying that it's a scam. I asked for evidence. He said because there are many scams "wake up".

As I laughed so much when I saw that comment, I felt I had to donate in return. Nice to see she's 20% there already, come on peeps a little from a lot of us should get this done!

Just revisiting this thread from this past summer - wow! The total amount exceeded the goal of $5,000 ($5,278.00) with 50 backers - many of whom came from this community. A huge thank you! I received an email from the co-founder during the Christmas break:
