CM get-together in May? (Vegas)

yay...I decided to take a SS this time :p It seems they decided to give my comps back...lol

This is for the Flamingo...

So, how's the 23-30 look for everyone so far?

$80 a night:what:

It's more than that to stay in one of our tatty Motorway lodges - we certainly are getting royally ripped off in the UK:mad:

Good job and congrats!....I am still game but we need to rally the troops!

Yep, it's getting closer and closer. I'll probably start making reservations either the middle or close to the end of Feb. Since my first night is free, I could probably make the room reservation now seeing as how they only deduct the first night from your CC when you make a reservation :D

VWM: Are you coming too??? :D

ps: Here's the non-comp'd rate - $635 difference ;)

And this goes with the place.

So far it's the 23rd-30thish ;)

I'm getting financially waffle-footed:eek2: But the tides could change in time. Right now, even though its almost four months away... I might have to beg off. Hurry up Bush and send my welfare check so I can play:rolleyes:

I won't know for a couple of weeks, life and commitments are in flux right now. Just chiming in.

Ok, I have my reservations set for the Flamingo from the 23rd-30th. I didn't want to take another chance to not have any nights comped, like before...:D

One update about TR scores....I just received a notice in the mail the other day about my status, and it seems your play for the previous year counts for the new year. So I'm good to go until March 2009; not this coming March, like I was afraid of.

Unlikely, it's not so much the $80 per night, but the flights, 14 hours in economy class each way.

But who knows, I could hit Mega Moolah, and stay at the most luxurious hotel on the strip, play $1000 a hand, and still have change from 4 Million, which would be some $8 Million.

I would probably come if I got a 20,000+ hit though, or if some casino would like to sponsor me like last time:D

Later.......

But who knows, I could hit Mega Moolah, and stay at the most luxurious hotel on the strip......

Not quite what I had in mind:mad:

do any of you guys stay at the palms? we can get several nights comped there, so that is where we will obviously be staying on any vegas visit. what are the dates for the wsop and when are you guys talking about going? i have a friend who will be playing in the wsop, so the comps could get really good if things go well........

I am only about a 3 1/2 hour drive from Vegas, so I could head on up in May for a few days :)

My better half will have to put blinders on me though or else I will never make it past Wiskey Pete's

Hopefully I will have Bush's check by then - the one he is sending all of us (whether you pay income tax or not) to help boost our economy.

May 23rd-30th, I always stay at the Rio...like to party at the Voodoo Lounge on the top of the building...best view on the strip too, although I do like the Augustus Tower at Caesars...stay there too...

i wanna come also seeing as how i'm only like 4 hrs away also but where can one stay for less then $100 a night don't vegas got a freakin motel 6 or something, damn i'm cheap yall

For cheap and good I would suggest the Golden Nugget but it
is downtown.. I have been getting promo emails from The Wynn
and the Bellagio though.. they include "special, send to your friend"
rates of $119 SUN-THUR.. Sign up for the Wynn's & Bellagio's player club online
and I bet they start mailing you the $119 offer:thumbsup:

I also enjoy the LaQuinta on Paradise sometimes.. to get out
of the casinos and have coffee in the room.. also a good option
if you are there on a weekend when all the strip properties are
outrageous.. I like to spend the weekdays at the Wynn and
the weekends at the LaQuinta and enjoy both equally in different ways.
LaQuinta will save you money in more ways than one:lolup:

I just returned from a fabulous weekend in Mecca:D
They have some nice deep stack tourneys at the Venetian
going on.. $500-$1000. I put a buddy in one and
he busted out 4 spots from the money on a coin flip..
had a good shot to win over $50,000 k. What a Great sweat!

The action at the Palms was lovely. $2/5 NL with $1000 max buy in.
It is Action lounge with live straddles every hand. My money
managed a $1000 win in less than an hour (not me playing)
I happened to get lucky at Palms Video poker and won about $1500
untill I donkeyed it off the next day (plus some).

For all you youngsters/hipsters: The newly remodeled "Light" nightclub
at the Bellagio is now "The Bank". It is hot and worth a trip
if you have time in May:D Saw Paris Hilton there too:lolup:

gah....

I have my room booked at the Flamingo for the 23-30, but I might have missed the window for getting a cheap flight....up to almost $400 now

Can you get me on your flight for free? It's only $200 in gas for me to drive to/from Nashville :D

If not, then maybe I can get Shatner to give me a good deal for naming my own price on Priceline ;)

edit: Are you in Brentwood - Knox County, or Brentwood - Williamson County? The latter is about 180mi farther...lol...but I'm assuming Williamson, seeing as how that's closer to Nashville....

I saw a story on CNBC this morning while I was grabbing a beer that airline fuel is at an all time high and the airlines never anticipated such so virtually none hedged (Southwest is best known for sucessfully hedging fuel costs). 30 to 40% of flights are now operating at a daily loss due to empty seats on certain routes and fuel costs. The airlines claim they are just going to start cancelling flights on daily case by case basis...Do I hear another government bailout coming, sounds like that is really what the airlines want again....So let's bail out the mortgage, airline and every other mismanaged industry....banks again soon also!!! ...BTW, I will get Harrah's to check on flights WB,LOL!

Brentwood-Williamson but I am one mile from the Nashville/Brentwood city line so I am as far North in Williamson as one can be or closer to Philly than any other part of Williamson County!!
