Just a warning to all members. I made a couple somewhat recent deposits on allstarslots (2 in the past few weeks) and checked my CC statement. For each $100 deposit I was charged $115-$118 (none of these were cash advance fees or exchange rates. I did have cash advance fees of $4 but they were charged separately)

I spoke to support and they asked I send them a copy of my bill. I did this a few days ago and have since been replied to by the financial department.

Basically they arent sure where these extra fees came from and suggest it could be a processor of some sort. They refunded me the amounts which totaled $35.72

I have made deposits at gaming club, jackpot city, butlers bingo, guts, ladbrokes and a few others in the past month. I was not charged anything over what I approved.

So you guys might want to keep an eye on your CC bills or be careful when depositing there

I do appreciate them refunding me the amount. But I guess i will have to play with it since minimum cashout is $50 and a fee of $9.

If n Karolina notices this thread I hope she can shed some light on what is going on. If a casino wishes to place charges on deposits they need to tell the player upfront. For withdrawals, follow the example of Guts.

Are you saying they returned the overcharge to you and put a restriction on it? That doesn't seem right?

Thank you for the input. I checked my cc statements and they were ok, no strange add ons.

yup I wasnt happy about that. They claim its my bank and I said I spoke to them and it isnt. I also have dozens of other transactions from many other casinos and not a single one overcharged me like that. My bank also said the same "These charges did not come from us and if you review your statement you will see all your other transactions to numerous casinos do not reflect any overcharges. This has to with the casino itself or a processor they work with"

I did request to put the $35 back on my card and they refused. I tried to win it on roulette to get to $50 and lost. Only $35 but considering Ive been a very long time and overall losing player over the years (total losses $1000) I figured they would make it right. They didnt.

All this did was leave me with a bad taste in my mouth. I have requested they shut my account for for 6 months and after that six months I will see if I want to play there any longer.

From these withdrawals I did cashout a win. So its not like im a bitter loser. I just dont like how this was handled and I was forced to play it back.

Same thing here

The same is happening to me, example you deposit $24.00, then I receive an email thank you for your deposit in the amount of $23.98,

The above charge amount may vary due to the locations of our banks and will always be less than the amount credited to your account.

If you have not already done so please fill out and send us this Authorization Agreement. This completed agreement is required for the processing of any payouts to your account.

Please contact Customer Services for any questions about your recent transaction.

Thank you for your patronage.

Then I refer to my statement Processor starts with a Z and it charged $25.91, plus an International signature fee. Just one example I have months worth of these overcharges from their processors.

I too sent in all my statements several times which they say they did not get, and I get the mailerdaemon email msg the recipient has refused to accept your email etc. Msg failed. Then went to chat and they say send to clubworld and I did and it has been weeks with no response. I know they are aware of it players are posting all over the forums of these charges and they don't seem to care.

And from the previous poster stating lost $1,000 been a loyal player they should make it right. Well I have been a member for almost 8 yrs or more and put in more than $40,000 and they dont feel the need to respond.

I just googled complaints club world casinos and 2005 company dissolved?

$1000 and 2.5 year member or a 8 year member losses of $40,000. Either or they should be taking care of their players when things like this arise. Not giving me back my money and knowing I cannot cashout and chances are Ill lose it trying to get the to minimum.

Would I have made two deposits if I knew I would be charged $36 (18%) in fees when there are hundreds of other accredited casinos out there that this doesnt happen with? Absolutely not.

Got this after I told them I was not happy I cant withdraw it to cover the ridiculous fee's. So its obviously happening to a lot of people.

Dear ******

We are aware of the issues with processing which we are trying to resolve. I’m sorry that you have been charged more than you have requested by deposit. We are trying to fix this and reimburse all affected players, other solution would be shutting down the merchant and leaving you with no ways to deposit. Please be patient with us as Kate has passed over your concerns and someone from cashier should get back to you.
If you have any questions or need help with anything please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind Regards,

Matt

So ive been told 3 different stories.

#1. They acted like they had no idea where they came from and suggested it was my bank

#2. They said it was my bank

#3. They are aware of the problem.

Yeah. Great. Reimburse players but dont allow them to cash it back out to cover these ghost charges.

And go ahead and shut them down on my account. You really think Im going to deposit and pay those fees again?

Are you saying they returned the overcharge to you and put a restriction on it? That doesn't seem right?

Incorrect.

No restrictions were placed on the refund. It was cash with no WR.

Of course, the minimum cashout at CW is $50, so the OP couldn't cash it out right away.

I know that CW will (or have in the past) transferred money from one casino account to another, so the OP could have perhaps had it added to their balance elsewhere etc. Just a thought.

Just wanted to clarify that no particular restrictions were placed on the refund beyond those to which everyone is subject.

Perhaps a PM to Karolina could have resulted in an exemption or a few extra bucks etc, but I guess the point is moot now.

Besides, had the OP won something nice off the refund, I'm sure the post would have been quite different.

yeah at first I was told they didnt know. But now that they do and from their response it seems they have known for awhile, they should have warned me and others that it could be possible. I agreed to $100 twice. I did not agree to $118 twice.

People make mistakes and Im willing to accept it if it were/is true. Like I said, I just dont like I was restricted with it. If a casino makes a mistake and over charges a player, they should without question put it back on the card to cover the fee's. Not make the player play it back in their casino and hope to make $15 to withdraw it. Them having to swallow a $10 cashout fee for their mistake should be pretty str8 forward.

It was their 'mistake' not mine.

In my opinion, not allowing me to withdraw overcharges that happened on their end, is a restriction. Why should I be forced to gamble my money that I didnt approve?

Also, i dont have any other accounts with balances.

I thought of PMing the rep but I had discussions with her about 5 days ago and she didnt respond to my latest PM about the casino client shell crashing. So I figured she might not be the right person to discuss it with.

And just to add. I am upset with the casino over this and initially wanted a refund but I am also not going to start begging to change their decision over $35. I said what I had to say and if I choose to leave the casino over it, I imagine it's their loss. This thread is about warning members to be careful of these charges.

yes, of course if I won I would be happy. Who wouldnt? I had absolutely no choice but to play it. Unless I just wanted to leave the $35 in there for a rainy day. In the end I chose, I shouldnt have to do that and I probably wont deposit again with such fee's so I might as well try and get to $50 and just leave.

Normally, the overcharges/undercharges amount to odd cents to ensure banks don't easily relate them to gaming charges but $118 for a $100 deposit is ridiculous. That said, you do have a choice other than playing back and that is to be persistent in demanding answers from them on the overcharges and show restraint during that time.

Karolina is definitely the person who will answer all questions related to the CW group in this forum. If she didn't answer your last pm it may just be coincidence and I suggest you try again.

Actually I do thank you for your warning though it seems you are the only one so far that has been slapped with such ridiculous overcharges.

Finally, any overcharges should be directly credited back to your credit card account. No minimum amount and no questions asked.

Yeah I just got a PM. I wont share it all as i dont think sharing PM's is right since its private. But the response to this situation is

I can see that we credited you cash deposit for the overcharges, unfortunately we are unable to refund overcharge only as this is linked to total deposit amount, that's why the overcharge was credited to your casino account.

I dont understand this completely. All I really see is sorry we couldt give you a refund, it must go into your casino account.

I seriously hope others can chime in here and tell me if I am right or wrong. Maybe I am stubborn and not thinking right.

My entire self tells me since I did not authorize these charges, I should have been refunded back to my card as requested and not told to gamble with it and try to get lucky with my own money I didnt approve.

Thanks for any feedback.

I think she was trying to explain why it couldnt get reversed not refunded.

She has offered to put the $35 back on my card.

I appreciate that and believe it is the right thing to do.

What would we do without these reps? A lot of us would be out of luck thats for sure

Overcharges

Hi All,

First of all I want to apologize about this issue to those who were affected. We are working with processor and try to establish what's going on with some of the overcharged transactions.

This issue doesn't affect all customers, comparing the volume of transactions and complains is really only few isolated cases where account was overcharged.

I'm always willing to work with customers affected by any similar problem. I can promise that if you will contact me and provide transaction details I will do my best to refund any overcharges regardless of the amount.

@ lockinlove - I'm sorry I didn't reply to your message earlier

Kind Regards,
Karolina

Isolated incidents or not, these do lead to player frustration and does not bode well for the casino. As should always be the case, its necessary to train up CS staff so that the correct message is conveyed to affected players.

I wont lie, I was quite irritated by this whole issue but I can also understand sometimes people make mistakes.

Please keep everyone updated on this processor issue. I wont be depositing until its fixed. I think thats best for both parties

As for not replying to me, I accept your apology and am glad you were here to help when it actually mattered.

Actually I do thank you for your warning though it seems you are the only one so far that has been slapped with such ridiculous overcharges.

You are welcome

Overcharges

Hi All,

Sorry again to the very small minority of players who have been affected by this. Please be assured we take this complaint very seriously and the last thing we want is to be associated with overcharging our valued customers. The payment processing partner involved has been warned this is in no way acceptable and has assured us the issue is resolved and will not happen again.

If anyone else has been affected please let me know right away and we will refund the overcharge AND credit the amount to your casino account.

Once again my sincere apologies.

Kind Regards,
Karolina

What if the player does not want to play with the overcharged amount? You should let them withdraw to their method of deposit without setting a minimum amount or withdrawal charges.

Hi chuchu59,

Any affected customer will have overcharge amount credited to casino account and refund of the deposit difference will be issued.

That's the best we can do in such situation, however I hope that this will not happen again.

Kind Regards,
Karolina

No, what she's saying is that the overcharged amount will be refunded to the player's payment method AND they will get the equivalent in the casino account to play with, like a free chip - well that's how I read it.

Hi dunover,

You are absolutely right.

If anyone will still experience this issue please contact me directly and we will resolve the situation as soon as possible.

Kind Regards,
Karolina
