Hi everyone, I have a quick question. A NetEnt casino licensed on Malta, under MGA, opened a player account that was closed permanently, confirmed by support. Can they do this without violating the term of their license? From what I understand the account was "permanently" closed no less then 3 times.

You are closing your account permanently would mean for you that your account including all your personal data will be deleted forever.

    Reality is different:

    - Whenever somebody closes his account the CS agent/casino in question will change your account status to "DORMANT". Nothing will be deleted where you could say closed is really closed = deleted.

    - Re-opening your account is a mere un-clicking of the check box in your account profile and "tra-tra" it is back to active status and you can use it again.

As to violating the license that in reality cannot happen, 2 options:

    - You closed your account permanently with the reason given gambling problems. Everybody would think that a re-opening is then not possible but it is. The casino will have to send out a questionnaire containing some questions regarding your gambling issues. If they receive satisfactory answers they will re-open the account.

    - You closed your account permanently with no reason given. As explained above the account is changed to dormant account and can be re-opened instantly at any time.

The way I see it is that the licence is not worth the paper its written on, It should not be allowed by any means but it happens, Casino are very strict if they have a U.K licence and playing from the U.K, I guess they do not want to risk it,

My Philosophy is that if you want an account closed that should be it, close the bugger and stop all correspondence, Please do not ask why or do I have a gambling problem, Frankly its none of there business, Some would disagree as its been mentioned in other threads that they would like to no in case they can offer you something to stay or what ever there tactics are,

But no they should not keep reopen if you asked permanently for it to be closed,
