Most of the emptiers wer accidental... we had some on the Games I did when I was at Impulse. I remember one on a game I did called Spin N Tonic (it didn’t sell too well) where the Reel Roulette code I wrote had a bug which meant it would roll off any symbol it couldn’t allow EXCEPT the Jackpot symbol. That’s what happens when you OR a mask incorrectly (coders will know).

We didn’t find it in test but some player found it in the first week of test in an arcade in Walsall!

Emptied it. Multiple times. So we quickly found out.

If you were clever you never emptied a machine with a cheat/emptier. That would alert us (the manufacturers). If you were clever you’d just take out 50 quid or so from multiple machines.

I still have fond memories of my first emptier on Super Line up back in 83 haha

MMM certanly interesting trance monkey, surely some must of been coded in, seemed to be heck of a lot back in the day and most just very simple, like the power 5 for example, just press deal or no deal every time you got a question mark, hey presto feature, some strange goings on for sure obvisouly not so much for the player.

Yeh JD a few month ago he had roller coaster, indiana jones, 2 monopoly 60s all sat in the corridor, think he regrets selling them now, seeing how popular the other oldies are now beeing, has a very nice mark 2 lite a nudge that was suposed to be sold, but he switched that on for us few weeks back to have a go, each way nudger mark 2 was also there that i used to play a lot at south shields, but thats gone, sonic the hedgehog, hot rod and quite a few others, but looks like he will be a few more oldies in.

Its all bloody Cashino's, Storeys, Quicksilvers and Royals round here.

They have a £6 token Andy Capp in Bradford, thats it lol.

There is a couple of arcades with a few older machines in Morecambe

Not much now really the South Shields arcade was my local haunt but that's now gone, talking to someone into his fruits a few weeks back and he sad it's worth popping to skirlington market, which is a 10 minute drive south of Bridlington, if yer ever near there, A mint arcade aperently with quite a few jpms and other classics, a few in the campsites near by also.

Also have a 10p 6 quid road hog in gillys middlesbrough, and a pretty random 10 pound 20p play Andy Capp 10 minutes away in billingham gillys plays nicely.

Seaton Carew still has about 20 plus bar x big 7 types mostly on 20p 6/8 quid tokens if yer like that type of thing, but yeh the classics are now and have been for a while very thin on the ground.

Scarborough Gilly's has a couple of newer oldies upstairs but not worth taking a trip for unless you going anyway.
Havent been to Seaton for at least 10 years and not a Bar X lover anyway unless its the top box variety.
Used to go to Hartlepool often as daughter was born there. Do they still hang monkeys
Sunderland used to have a nice arcade just a couple minutes walk from bus station but closed years ago.

I go to Brid quite often still but havent stayed over lately, so wouldnt have time to trip off somewhere else as I dont drive and I have to take a visit to Flamborough, but will keep that in mind about Skirlington next time I do stay over.
Cheers

lol ^^ No complaints about the amount of emptiers or manipulators I was privy to over the years but most times always seem to drop on them as they were in their final 6 months so to speak.

Barcrest's Thunderbird's been the "King Gutter" - one of the simplest to easily trigger JP after JP until empty, hit about 5-6 machines and they disappeared literally overnight

I also think from time to time about the Project Coin "forced hold" would work on 777 heaven and Jackpot's 7's but not Hit the Six, Double Up or 7's and Melon's. Remember the one day there was a whole line of us in the arcade "bashing" the Project's all at the same time. Comical as the young, inexperienced manageress at the time could think of nothing more to do than shout "Will everyone stop pressing f%&^ing 'collect' "

Played the £6 token Andy Capp in Bradford yesterday.
Proper enjoyed it and it was in a good mood.
Infact I had a nice session all round yesterday.
Double 25 quid top on Partytime, 30 quid top on a sit down Partytime, 35 quid roll in on Double Decker, £68 top on Super Reels.
Divas Reels took 30 quid for a fiver top though.
Enjoyed it miles better than online lately

Popped in to a local Quicksilver yesterday.
3 quid in a Partytime for 51 quid out.

Won a Grand National raffle and noticed on the card they gave me that it said Admiral.

I didnt have a clue that Novomatic were buying/bought these out.
Spent 20 minutes quizzing the cashier.

Should have cottoned on really when those massive sit down Novo's started appearing.

I'm a little young lol, well 31, that project trick where you could force a hold by collecting the credit back out worked on a 3 player call Egyptian Gold.

They had some in Mecca bingo, but was quite rare. Once you had ripped say 30/40 sets of wins then just play normally as it always winked for the top and streaked for 60-70. You could make around £100 an hour. It never got fixed this, they just removed the machines, I remember going in with pockets full of 10p's. It was a £35 Jackpot.

To ensure not killing the golden goose, the sensible ones would refloat them with a tenner using a refill key.....

Yes mate they brought them out about 12 months back now. Happened to mention it to one of the staff I've known nearly 30 years when it first happened and she nearly torn me a new one. Guess it was an end to her little fiddles and self sourced "brown envelopes" eh

Made a small fortune across all the 'skins' from this trick back in the day, had about £1,000 in 20p tokens built up at one point too

Yup, that was us, soon as the cash low warning came on certain machines we'd refloat with a key to ensure future "bashes" - worked pretty well too. We also came across loads of "wannabes" on our routes who once in a while would part with stupid amounts of cash for one of our keys, deliberately carried spares just in case lol.
