Cirrus questions

I used to play a lot at Cirrus, but stopped because of all the complaints I saw here and other boards. Andre called me the other day trying to get me back. He told me that their problems have been worked out and everyone is being paid. Two questions:

1. Is everyone being paid?

2. I heard rumor that they were being bought out by a large outfit called Sporting Bet, This would certainly be a good sign. Can anyone substantiate that?

Whatever you decide to do, make sure you get whatever you agree to in writing via an email. Don't make agreements over the phone unless its backed up by something tangible.

Also, keep in mind that if you win a large sum, it will be paid out piece meal. And this casino doesn't have a reputation of keeping to it's payment schedule.

Buyer/player beware. Keep in mind, there are a number of better run RTG operations than this.

How many Bodog complaints do you hear of?

Bodog site

Casinomeister...I too have followed this board for a while before joining and have found a lot of great information (thank you for that).

I have been playing at Crystal Palce for a long time now (over a year) and have never had a problem till a recent scare in being paid out, but they did on the last day (7th). Otherwise all is still good.

I am not touting them at all since I have seen so many posts against them, but I have continued playing there because it is where I am winning and cashing out regularly. Grand Hotel and Intercasino is another casino that I cash out regularly. I am wandering..sorry...

I downloaded Bodog and signed up on your recomendation and have found that thier cashiering is a little bit time consuming, frustrating and confusing and I don't like it at all...the cashiering that is.

I did put in some real money to try it out (always give a place a fair shot at my money before making a decision) and couldn't figure out where the deposit went  to till I called them and was on hold for a few minutes, I finally figured out you had to buy casino chips (transfer the transfer) into your casino account before help came back online. Not my thing at all sorry to say. :(

When I deposit, I want to go straight to play..no other finagling at all..as this site had you do..games were the same too but to get to them was too much work and trouble..ahh well...appreciate the info..

rj314,

Speaking of calling to get you back, this is also what I experienced with Cirrus Casino. After my own battle to get paid from them, they started hounding me daily with phone calls asking me to deposit again. Did they think I would have amnesia about what they put me through?

I would treat with a lot of skepticism Andre's claim that "their problems have been worked out." Casinos which have a long record of complaints aren't likely to change. Only a change in ownership might make me rethink this position.

Based on my experience, I agree with Bryan that Bodog is a good choice if you want hassle-free, quick payouts.

silcnlayc, you'll find that any casino that is also a sportsbook and poker site will also have the chip transfer requirements. Once you get the hang of it, Bodog is well worth the effort.....although I could do without the fraternity/pimp image it employs.

I've tried them once so far and was impressed with their customer support. I was a little confused at first and their support was very helpful over the phone and emails were answered quickly. I will play there again someday.

lol It is funny that you mention the "fraternity/pimp image". I think I know what you mean. Just marketing, I guess. Whatever works. I'm sure it works. But I was laughing just now because I remember they used to send me emails with the adventures of Suzy (or whatever her name was) the lesbian BoDog Girl. lol  I thought that was kind of silly and unnecessary. But alas, I DID click the link to see what her latest adventures were. :D

Anyway, I have a few friends who play poker at BoDog and they all say they like it and have only possitive to say about it.

PS: I wonder how Suzy is doing lately.

i think you might be getting confused with the possible deal between empire online and sportingbet which has now fallen through.

any reputable group buying this lot would be committing hara kiri with their own reputataion if there were to do so.

You can get put on a no-call list by Cirrus, and they respected it in my case.

Bodog Casino

paul1 also says

See, its a shame that such a good casino, as everyone says it is, is this confusing to play at. They are limiting thier signups it seems...for paul1 says he will play there again "someday" as I feel the same way because of the hassel of depositng etc...

We are creatures of habit..easy come easy go...don't want to wait all day to give my money away, lol
Shame... :(

Not that Sportingbet is so great anyway

Also, Sporting Bet is not somewhere I'd place a bet at lately anyway.
If you get the urge to place a bet around them: keep shopping. Mostly for aesthetic/philosophical reason btw
So no help here.

I recently got an e-mail offering me a $2000 no-risk offer. It claims that if I lose the $2000, it'll be returned to my Neteller account within 24-48 hours. If I win, I get to take it and run. Sounds too good to be true. I made a big deposit over the summer, and it took a while to get paid. I'm not tempting fate again.
