This final match sounds Exciting in my ears!
We have a very solid Team Bayern Munich vs a PSG with the Best Forward line (in my opinion) you could find in any team. In my opinion Bayern is the Fav:
  • Solid Team ( strategy + physical preparation)
  • Old (experience) + young ( Phisical ++) combination.
  • They're Germans! ;)

As a unit PSG might have a more exciting attack.
Bayern a better all round team.
Lewandowski 55 goals in 46 games.
Gnabry has 23 and Muller chipped in with 14 so far, means their attack ain't bad either.
Boateng,Alaba and Neuer are so solid at the back also add in Thiago's ability from midfield and I think they are too strong all over the park for PSG.

Bayern by 1 goal for me.

Oh, it's tonight? From being a football fan for 35-odd years I have totally disconnected with the sport now, got used to living without it.

Bayern have a pretty poor record against English sides in euro finals, except beating Leeds 2-0 in 1976 so perhaps it's good for them they are playing a French team because France have a terrible finals record for a big country, way behind Spain, Holland, Portugal, England, Germany and Italy in terms of historic success.

So I cannot see past Bayern here, would be a major shock if they lose to that PSG side who like Man City are trying hard to 'buy' the trophy.

I have gone for PSG simply because I have a free bet to use on the game and PSG gave the best odds for the win.
I'm a little like Daz in as much that I've almost disconnected with the game what with no crowds and the fact that the Newcastle takeover has fallen through. I honestly believe that if the takeover offer was for a top 6 team it would have been granted.

Edit. Why couldn't De Jong not play like he did in the Europa final when he was at Newcastle? :(

Played as a number 10 and not where he’s best as a number 9 when he was at Newcastle (de-jong).
Bayern 3-2 normal time my punt

Will BT be showing it free again? I'm poor you see

If not I'll have to completely-not-fishily stream it off reputable sources, or even..........radio it

But as I'm slightly partisan towards Bayern, as they've been my team for 32 years, I will forecast a 3-0 Bayern rout, and for the French to do their usual capitulation thing (I won't call them surrender-monkeys, that's offensive to monkeys)

I do however predict Herr Flick, yes that's the Bayern coach's name, to be bellowing out instructions on the sidelines akin to "Break zat Schweinehund Neymar's legs you imbeciles! Sweep the leg! Eins, Zwei, Eins, Zwei....." and so forth

I think that we have a history of getting on the backs of forwards way too quickly if they don't get off to a good enough start. Take Xisco for example. I mean it took 5 years for someone to take him.

Bayern 3-1 in 90 minutes, just hope it’s an entertaining game.

Great games are hard to come by nowadays as “what’s at stake” has lead to the vast majority of games becoming a tactical battle which generally nullifies entertainment.

Gone are the days of just playing to score as many goals possible. The game nowadays starts with let’s not concede a goal. Along with over exposure on TV there is not the excitement in seeing a live game on the box that there was years ago. Then there may only be one a fortnight and you wouldn’t miss it.

I watched the 1982 World Cup semi-final between France and Germany again the other night. Certainly for me, one of the most entertaining matches of all time. The game had everything, literally. Sadly for France they were victims of a total injustice and Germany (as always) were the beneficiaries.

If you have never seen that game I thoroughly recommend it, along with Italy vs Brazil from the same tournament. There was something magical about that era.

Pardew had him behing Nile Ranger in the pecking order. Something like 8th choice. But the guy wouldn't care because he picked up a fortune sat on the bench in reserve games for 5 years

Wasn't the '82 WC considered the greatest? I'd imagine it was, apart from one or two little 'arrangements' in the group stages let's just say! I don't recall much of that tournament, in fact nothing. My first football sentience occurred with Mexico '86, now that was a spiffing one from recollection

But yes, that Harald Schumacher bulldozer pincer movement was legendary. I'd say it was more shoulder-to-shoulder, personally

*he did offer to pay for the French player's teeth, which was nice
